. . . . Is the Upgrade download file any different to the Full download file? . . . .
Good question.
Probably, the behaviour i have seen would suggest that it depends on the status of the version upgrading from and the upgrade policy for the particular product - this appears to have change a couple of times.
In general:
if out of the 1 year update period then a new serial number is generated and the download behaves as a new install requiring the new serial number.
if within an upgrade period, and the update policy for the product allows it, the existing serial number is used.
I'm mostly enjoying Movie Studio Platinum 2023, but hoping you will add support for iZotope RX 10 Elements plugins. Previous versions of iZotope plugins are available in the mixer rack, but not RX 10.
I understand and sympathise what you are requesting but all recent iZotope plugins, both RX 10 and Ozone 10, are VST3 only and currently MMS seems to not run VST3s.
Jeff, not sure what to make of it, but all of the iZotope RX plugins from versions 6-10 are labeled as VST3 in the VST FX menu of plugins for Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab version 3 and 4. Also, when installing iZotope RX 10 there is no option to install the plugins in a custom folder or in the Steinberg folder where all of the previous iZotope plugins are stored.

True, but that is because VST3s must be installed in the default folder, C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. My understanding is that this is part of the VST3 specification.
I'm running SFACL3 and all my VST3s are seen and accessible to the program.
Hello. I am new in this, and I have some problems (3) to which I have been trying solving by my self, and well, here I am, still without solving them.
1. I acquired the Magix a week after trying the free version. Initially it worked appropriately, but when he tried to export the fourth video, he exported it, but did not take the transitions. I checked the edition and from that moment, the transitions were not recognized in the edition tracks, in fact they did not even have the preview. I uninstalled the program, I re-installed it and tried again but did not work. Keep exporting the videos but does not take the transitions.
2. When I bought the program, I got an email with a code of a coupon to download and activate the "New Blue Stylizers 5 Ultimate" and the "New Blue Essentials 5 Ultimate", which I downloaded and installed both of them, then I had to re-start The Magix in order to use them, but when I restart it, it appears again that I must download them, I have already done it several times but always does the same, he never recognizes them, nor installs them.
3. When I go "File" - "Magix Content", I fill the blanks with my e-mail and password, but this appears: "This section is available exclusive to Subscribers of Video Deluxe Plus, Video Deluxe Premium, Movie Studio Platinum, Movie Studio Suite and Video Pro X". My question is; When I bought the Movie Studio Suite 2023 version, shouldn't I be able to access this? Please remember that I am new to this, if I can find solutions to these problems I present, I thank you very much. Happy day for everyone!
The reason for the message you quote in your third question is that that Magix content is available only to users who choose to purchase a subscription, not to users who buy the perpetual licence for the product they have. Please read the details at the top of this page https://www.magix.com/gb/video-editing/movie-studio/purchase/#c1574372
There should be a option to disable the movable expansion/rotation point in S/P/R. Having to move the red rotation-centrepoint circle every time I want to adjust a object is time-consuming and quite frankly a real nuisance. An example is adjusting a black square as the background for a title. Using the old system, I could position the lower left corner where I wanted it and simply drag out the top and right to what I wanted. Now I have to position the anchor point twice to achieve the same thing.

This program is getting harder and harder to use.
You lost me there.
I presume that you mean the anchor point. It's now at the centre, so instead of putting your box at the lower left corner, why don't you just centre it. Expansion/contraction is about the centre or wherever the anchor point is located.
If you're using MS2023, then you have the buttons to quickly change the location of the anchor point.
Why do you have to position the anchor point twice? You are supposed to position it once, before making any adjustments (it's in the manual and the tutorial that I'm working on).
The moveable anchor point has opened up a world of possibilities.
As for the size of the handles, I can now see them. I don't want them smaller. Just use the boxes when the image gets too small.

That's exactly what I don't want. Have a look at the image I posted: I want to place a white bar next to the black box. In the old days, I'd position the lower right corner of my white object against the lower left corner of the black box and simply drag the top left corner of the of the white object to where I want it. Now, I have to relocate the anchor point twice, the first to get the bottom of the white bar in the correct position and the second for the left edge. Painful!
I know why they did it, so the flashy whizzos could have rotation about any point, but for the rest of us it's a nuisance. Having a deselectable anchor point would be the the best of both worlds.
Just use the boxes when the image gets too small.
The balls are so big you can't see the edges of the object, as shown in my image. That was my point.
This is where I think differences in work flow between people probably makes a difference. Personally I would never have composited that in the video editor but as a single file from a photo editing package. Although that may take slightly longer to do, the less processing stress it puts on the video editor for both playback smoothness and export times would make up the difference of inconvenience for me.
Ray, that may be so (the reason I did it in Magix was because of the opacity of the black box) but the point remains: what used to be easy is now harder. In 15 years with Magix, I have come across only one scenario where I needed Size, Position and Rotation all at once. In that case, I exported the rotation as a lossless AVI then brought it back in and then used the SP effect. I have now been condemned to relocating the anchor point forever more.
Computers don't get stressed, the users do! 😂 (especially if I had to create a separate graphic for every timecode I wanted to put in).
I can set the opacity of any shape I make within Photoshop, but as you infer it is horses for courses. I would also prefer to use a psd file over a png file for further editing if needed.
I'm not disagreeing with you as I don't tend to use the rotation side of things myself either. My bugbear with SPR is if you increase the magnification within the monitor you can't select which bit of the screen you want to look at. That in theory should make handling the handles and placement easier if that could be done. I'm actually impressed you show the bottom left hand corner in your screen shot. I have no idea how you got that.
With the new system, every time you want to change the shape (ie width or height) you have to move the anchor point.
No, you don't. You uncheck the "Combine input fields" box. Resizing is about the anchor point; you don't need to move it unless you want resizing to start from the anchor point. And, you have the buttons to quickly position the anchor point to one of the midsides/midbottom/top or corners or back to the centre. We never had any of that before.
We are not all resizing from the bottom left corner. You seem to have one particular case.
Now, I can quickly put an object to the edge, top, bottom or corner. Couldn't do that before. I had to either type in 0 or figure out where the right or bottom would be given the size of my object.
Are you using MS2023? If not, then you are missing the boxes that I show in my tutorial.
EDIT: Ok, I see what you mean. Before, dragging a corner handle used the opposite corner as the anchor. The centre handles use the centre of the object as the anchor point.
EDIT AGAIN: You can now make the width 0, and even a minus. Minuses invert the image.
I would suggest you start a new topic on your issue as it is not related to this topic and answers may get buried here so the thread cannot be easily followed.
To determine what was causing the crashing of Movie Studio, without the hassle of trying to pull apart the log file, run the Windows Reliability Monitor - press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog, then type in perfmon /rel and click OK.
Look for entries similar to those shown below, when you select a date, this is from windows 11, Windows 10 should be similar.
Double click one of the fault notifications for for Movie Studio, the dialog in the red box opens and details what the Faulting Module was - post a screenshot of that dialogue.
I have hidden your comment to stop further replies in this very long topic.
Out of curiosity, what streaming sites allow playback of video at those frame rates?
As far as I understand the use of higher frame rates, it is to allow better quality of slow motion playback at the normal slower frame rates used for video streaming sites. YouTube's' maximum frame rate is 60fps.
As video editors are meant to convert files to another medium, normally with further distribution in mind, until there is a way to distribute such files for sharing to a wider audience, I can't see Magix being that interested yet until there is a stream-able medium available. While Adobe Premier currently facilitates this ability, additional codec packs I believe are required. This is why I'm curious of why this would be useful or desirable.
