and you are probably right but still, Movie Edit Pro 2016 Plus works perfectly !! Maybe Movie Studio 2022 Suite is NOT compatible with this setup, since I cannot open it I cannot check for updates.:(

I also noticed, that nobody used that PC with 2 monitors since I have problems with rearranging those two monitors, still cannot find help online.

Do you have 2 monitors connect to the computer eg 1 via the DVI connector and the other by HDMI?

If so does the program start if only the DVI monitor is plugged in?

One monitor is connected from Display Port to HDMI. second monitor from Display Port to VGA, but I tried different combinations and...still the same - cannot rearrange those monitors and MMS cannot open in either combination.

As you can see...the only logical explanation for me is that MMS is NOT compatible with Win10 Pro., and now I cannot even update it since I cannot open it.!!

It definitely is compatible with Win 10 Pro, I was running MEP/MMS 2022 on Pro before I upgraded to Windows 11.

The error message refers to 'Fault Module Name:    OpenCL.dll'

OpenCL.dll is part of the Intel drivers - try a clean install following this procedure do note the part about disconnecting from the Internet after downloading the driver, you may still have the current one from the previous attempt to install.

If the computer is a Dell, HP or other system builder who use customised drivers you may get this warning:

"A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer." you can continue (at your own risk), however the driver may be overwritten again if the computer has is its own driver updater.

You may want to use their support line for help.

I did "this procedure" - uninstalled Sound,video and game controllers, but it didn't change anything. Then I uninstalled display driver for Intel Graphics 530 and it worked ! with Microsoft Basic Display Driver. So I updated MMS, restarted it...to find that the ONLY display resolution is 1280x720 !!...well...I reinstalled Intel Display driver...and still cannot open MMS. it looks like Display driver is a problem... :((

check this out John EB, this is what is happening....

and honestly - I cannot see ANY difference between Edit Pro 2016 Plus and Movie Studio 2022 Suite !! $100 wasted!

Hi Greg.

Personally I would contact Magix at infoservice@magix.net and ask them which set of specs for the Infusion engine III is correct. Video Pro X says this

"Processor: - Intel 6th generation Core i-series or higher - AMD Ryzen or higher RAM: RAM: 16 GB Graphics card: INFUSION Engine 3 provides hardware acceleration for import and export using Intel, NVIDIA and AMD GPUs: - Intel Graphics HD 620 or higher with 4 GB (Intel driver version 27.20.100.9466 or higher) - NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050ti or higher with 4 GB (GeForce Game Ready driver version 496.76 or higher) - AMD Radeon RX470 or higher with 4 GB"

While on the Movie Studio page it says this.

"Graphics card: Onboard, min. resolution 1280 x 1024, 512 MB VRAM and DirectX 11 support (recommended: Intel Graphics HD 520 or better for MPEG2/AVC/HEVC) INFUSION Engine 3 supports video acceleration for AVC and HEVC on Intel, NVIDIA or AMD GPUs with 1GB VRAM or higher Example: Intel Graphics HD 630, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050, AMD Radeon RX470

But Movie Studio doesn't include the need for which graphics driver is needed nor why we have three separate Intel graphics chip specs stated between both specs pages. (Intel 6th generation Core i-series or higher implies an HD530 chip, not an HD520)

My gut feeling is Magix has misquoted the minimum requirements for running this software.

I solved my two monitor problem but , still have problem with MMS. Magix sent me an email that they cannot deactivate and reimburse me for MMS I sent email to infoservice for help...

When did you buy the upgrade to MMS?

And, for absolute correctness, MMS 2023 (which I have running successfully under Win 10 Pro) is far, far more  than a cosmetically changed program when compared with MEP Plus 2016, not least in the area of the technology involved!

I didn't upgrade, I bought a new MMS 2022 May 31,2022. Honestly I was hoping that with the new Magix editing program I will be able to edit 10 bit color ( from my drone Mini 3 pro)

The problem I have is that with my old PC running Win10 Home MMS 2022 was working perfectly - my previous MEP Plus 2016 was OK too. Now , on my new PC running Win10 Pro MEP Plus 2016 works but MMS 2022 doesn't even open.

Hopefully Magix will be willing to help me....

You are well out of the return and refund period of 14 days from date of purchase - see section 3 in this document.

I have also removed libellous content from your post.

Is the 'new PC' the Intel i7-6700 CPU, 32GB RAM, Windows 10 Pro v.22H2 machine you mentioned previously?

That rules out my train of thought on a possible cause. I still personally think the problem may be Magix have misquoted the minimum Intel HD 530 spec for the 2022 version and should only be the HD 620 onward.

As for your post getting censored, you may have broken one of the community guideline rules.

I don't know as I didn't get to see it.

As for refund policies. That is mainly dictated by the individual consumer rights dependent within the country of purchase. It varies. If you feel your consumer rights have been ignored your first action should be to get in touch with your consumer rights group or council. Often such bodies will take up your case if they feel it breaches their codes of conduct.

In the mean time if you haven't yet tried the following please try.

To make sure all the program folders are set not to be scanned by any antivirus or firewall program. If the program can't connect to the server at least for the first time to verify you are a legal owner of the software it may just be causing the program to shut down before it has even started. It has been known that the program is sometimes seen as a false positive to antivirus scanning.

For instance in Avast you can add individual folders from being scanned.

That also in Windows / Settings / System / Graphics settings, that in the 'Choose an app to set preference' and using the box to browse Desktop app, that you go to C: Program files / MAGIX / Movie Edit Pro Premium / 2022 and scroll down to the videodeluxe.exe and add it to the list. Then chose 'Let Windows Decide'.

See if any of that helps.

Ignoring completely for now the threat within your statement, as @johnebaker said, Magix Terms & Conditions make very clear that refunds are available ONLY within 14 days of the original purchase. You stated your purchased in May 2022. How is denying you a refund in December 2022 any sort of malpractice?

I also did not see your original content which John has hidden but if this threat to spread all over the internet what sales practices Magix uses is even close then yes, you are most certainly actively attempting to spread libellous content.

Hi Ray, thanks for replying...I don't have Movie Edit Pro Premium in C: Program files / MAGIX folder.. And No I am still waiting for Magix Support team to help me. What I don't understand is why MMS 2022 worked on my old 7y/o pc and doesn't want to open on 1 y/o pc? And no problem with old MEP2016...Hopefully Magix team knows what is going on..

Hi Greg.

You can import 10 bit colour but not export it in 10 bit. You are stuck with BT 709.
