For this particular job you would be better off using the size, position, rotation plugin.
You can copy individual key frames or complete effect alterations or combinations of effects and paste them to any other object on the timeline. There is normally more than one way to complete a given task within Movie Studio 2023,
Whether you use Camera/Zoomshot or SPR, the keyframes themselves are the same. If I'm zooming, I use Camera Zoomshot. That is what it is for; easier to visualise the area you're zooming in to. Then copy the keyframe to the first frame of the next object and the crop box outline you see will be replicated on the next object.
Please do as @AAProds and @CubeAce requested and create a new thread in the Movie Studio area of the forums; this thread is for feedback, not for discussing what users think may be "bugs".
I will leave your post and replies visible at the moment but once you create that new thread I will hide the series of posts here.
Summary: please do not continue this discussion here! 😇
I do not have as many transitions as I did with Vegas Movie studio 16. I thought that was one of the BIG selling points that all the new dazzling transitions and content. I bought the 70% off version of Movie Studio plat 2023, so did they strip away content that i have to buy?
No they didn't; go to Help>Install Extra Content, wait/allow the Installation Manager to start, then download the Fade Effects extras:
It will download as an EXE file; run it to install the extra fades/transitions. Caveat: I haven't done so, so I don't know what extras you'll be getting.
FYI, Magix Movie Studio is not an "upgrade/update" to Vegas/Sony Movie Studio. It's a completely different program. The Vegas/Sony version has been discontinued and Magix renamed it's long-time video editor, Movie Edit Pro, to Movie Studio.
To add to @AAProds comment, if you have not done so, download and install all the Extra Content, otherwise you will be missing more then just the transitions.
Two programs can be active at any one time but the program can be downloaded to as many devices as you wish. To activate the program on a third device you would first have to de-register one of the other licences first. There are a small amount of re-registrations allowed per month. I think it is four but I'm not sure.
Additional licences can be bought from Magix if required.
I have one more question regarding version/language. The trial version is English, and how is the full version. I am interested in the Polish language. Can it be changed, is it available?
I wasn't aware of the fact MM is available in Polish, so thanks for that information.
I think your only option is to email infoservice@magix.net and ask if there is a possibility that MMS might have a Polish version at some point in the future.
Today, I purchased direct from the Magix website the Movie Studio 2023 (Basic version). After using it, I realized that it does not have the HDR Video Effects feature as does the Movie Studio 2023 Platinum version. Today, the difference in price between these two versions was $10. How can I upgrade to the Platinum version by paying the additional $10? The HDR feature is the main reason I purchased this product. Do I have to cancel the first purchase and ask for a refund and purchase the Platinum version? I would have thought that there would be an option for immediate upgrade after such mistakes!
I think you should immediately email infoservice@magix.net with details of your purchase, explain what you would like to do and ask if they will allow you to pay the $10 to "upgrade" from the Basic edition to the Premium edition. You might even wish to consider upgrading to the full MMS 2023 Suite.
I suspect you will be successful in achieving the upgrade that you want.
I'm not aware of any version of Movie Studio supporting HDR. That as far as I know is only available in Video Pro X. That is the only one of the two programs that has the BT 2020 colour profile and the option to output to 8 or 10 bit.
Thanks Ray, but from the Movie Studio 2023 Manual":
"Brightness and Contrast Auto-exposure With this button you can automatically optimize brightness and contrast with a click. Use the fader in the dialog for finer adjustments. Brightness/contrast: Use the sliders to increase or reduce the brightness and the contrast of the picture. Gamma: Set the mean gray value that can be calculated from the various color ranges. In the preset list, you can select different areas to edit only the dark, median, or brightest areas of the image. Using the fader, you can also set the level of brightening or darkening. HDR Gamma: Unlike "Gamma", very dark areas are selectively lightened. HDR Blur: This changes the transition between light and dark areas together with "HDR Gamma". Note: The functions HDR Gamma and HDR blur are only available in the Plus/Premium version of MOVIE STUDIO."
I also saw the HDR feature used on a YouTube video about Movie Studio.
It is true you get the two variant sliders for gamma within MMS.
While it is possible to import and use 10 bit video files within MMS, it cannot export to 10 bit or the BT 2020 colour space. These are the export options in VPX.
To add to @CubeAce comment - 'While it is possible to import and use 10 bit video files within MMS' - this depends on the container file format .
MP4 and MOV container files import OK, however MKV container files while they will import MMS, and VPX, become unresponsive for up to several minutes depending on the length of the video clip and are very sluggish once imported.
