I suspect that the TS files are Transport Stream files, such as created by PVRs; essentially AVCHD files.
If so, Magix will open them, although I don't get a audio waveform and timeline speed is awful (though that will probably be because of my slouch of a system, with lots of "preloading" going on). If I smart-render them with AVIDemux, they come out as a plain old AVC MP4 and Magix opens them with no issues.
Try setting your hardware acceleration to "CPU" on this screen (File>Settings>Program):
If that doesn't make your videos appear, install AVIDemux , open one of your TS files, then change the "Output Format" to "MP4 Muxer" then save your file. The conversion will only take a few seconds.
Then drag that MP4 file into Magix and see how it goes.
hi aaprods. i'll try avidemux. change to cpu made the download slower, although i'm not sure it was the cause. the real issue here is that magix does not show any visual. although there is audio. this when it is made to render ts file directly.
i just tred avidemux. my that conversion was instant. i left the settings at 3060ti and it rendered the converted to mp4 ts file quite well. i didn't try the cpu setup yet but it looks moot and academic since it renders an avidemux converted ts(mp4) file. thanks. but will tey again, just to be sure.
no. at cpu setting it still doesn't show any video but does audio.
Got all that. Yes, AVIDemux is quick; the underlying file is a plain old AVC/AVCHD file in the TS wrapper, which must be the bit that's messing Magix up. Change the wrapper and Magix is happy. Must be a weird TS file.
. . . . at cpu setting it still doesn't show any video but does audio . . . .
The CPU option is the default fallback settings when the GPU(s) is/are not compatible, if you are still not getting the video from the TS files it raises the question of what is the video encoding format.
Download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the TS clips causing the issue and post the results, see this tutorial on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.
What is your computer system specification, Windows version and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full.
