An update has been issued - not a bug patch, unfortunately and I presume that the bugs on the list (see below) still exist.

Important changes in version 17.0.2.54

Here is the change to the transition menu available by clicking on the transition icon at the head of an object on the timeline:

Sorry Magix, but this was not really needed and just adds a bug to the list. The previous version had no German text, more on the menu, and there is now a lag between clicking on the icon and when the menu appears.

The new Color Picker in the Text Editor is welcome and can be used to get the RGB (in %) of colours.

Template: Layer masks - is right at the bottom of Image Objects. There are now 94 masks, up from 60. Good addition.

No idea about improved performance of the OFX interface. Anyone?

However, once again, Magix has made things worse. Example: HitFilm Zoom Blur now turns the screen black and I have to change to Compatibility Mode in the Program Settings, and typing numbers into the XY box does not stick. The default is 1920 and 1080 and the only way to change the values is to use the mousewheel. Holding down Ctrl or Alt causes a freeze for several seconds. I tried several HitFilm Effects. However, typing into one of the other boxes seems to unlock the problem and then one can type into the X and Y boxes, press enter, and the value stays. But, keyframing X and Y still causes X to go to infinity.

Can someone confirm this a bug, or did a setting change. I was one able to grab the edge of a clip and scroll it left and right and see the preview update, but now the preview goes black. Did a setting change?

I just got the new update 17.0.3.63
Poblemes N ° 1 - reported for control Anaglyph / Cote à cote seems corrected for form but remains a problem of contrast on the screen
Problem # 2 - Slideshow Maker with so error message is set.

Here are the screenshots of the control screen where you can see the contrast difference between 2D and 3D anaglyph, and side by side.

Do you mean on a photo? Which movement effect?

With today's patch 63, I tried using a photo and the Camera/Zoom shot with a photo and then modifying it to zoom in then out. No blurring noticed.

All:

The German in the Transitions Menu has been replaced with English. For me, the remaining problems are not being able to save the transition with a name, and the top of the menu is cut off when using 2-screen display and when clicking on FX from within the Edit Trimmer irrespective of where the Edit Trimmer is located on the screen.

Since I didn't see any list of what was fixed, other than the 3D and SlideShow Maker problems, was anything else fixed with patch 17.0.3.63?

browj2.. This happens on video, not photos. Did you see my prior post regarding preview issues. I cannot preview a movie clip when I grab the low handle and slide it right/left. You have those issues? I've been a user long enough to know that these issues were once problems in earlier releases.

I cannot replicate this - is there a specific movement effect that you are seeing this on?

I don't have the exact names right now, Zoom in and out seem OK, it has to do with right to left, left to right. I actually saved my own in templates because they have a half second fade built onto both ends.

Like John EB, I don't see any blurring in a video clip if I add a zoom in, hold, zoom out.

EDIT: No blurring when zoomed in and then panning left or right.

As well, I have no problem previewing the first frame of a video clip when dragging the lower left or right handles.

Are you using just the UHD 630 for HWA ?

If so did you update to the new DCH drivers - mine are currently at version 26.20.100.7263.

My chip is the Coffee Lake, I now see DCH supports it. I'll give it a try.

I downloaded it, it went thru the install process and restart, but driver details are the same.

Then I get this notice VPX has an update, to 17.0.3.63 so I take that. Restart.

Both my recent problems went away, I can now scroll right/left with preview, the transitions stay, instead of removing themselves if you edit one, and another, the object trimmer works!

Object Trimmer: According to my testing, it works almost properly again. The only thing that doesn't work is on the right end of the last object. Using the arrow in the Object Editor does not work for me, but Ctrl+Alt left arrow does. However, a subsequent single click on either the left or right arrows resets the counter to 0. Putting a fade on the end manually by dragging the right fade arrow to the left and then opening the Object Trimmer will allow single arrow clicks.

Can you confirm this?

That's about right for me, Object Editor works with the help of the Alt key. I still have a problem with loosing the entire fade effects (front and back) if I adjust a clip after applying those fades.

I just tried again in a new project, and this time I was unable to create fades on video objects using the left and right arrows in the Object Trimmer. Alt+click worked, but then just clicking would reset to 0. I think that the problems have not been resolved.

The Audio tab and the ShopManager FileCache are still problematic. The Audio tab is empty on first startup of VPX, populated with the second. The FileCache keeps on growing every day.

Same here, it was behaving for a short while and the file cache did not increase over 4 sessions in 4 days then started to increase again.

I wonder if the issue is related to the number of files in the file cache, I will clear it again - currently 14156 files.

Hi All,

I had 4 crashes today, all when manipulating titles. VPX disappears and reloads, thus there is no crash log and nothing gets sent to Magix. This has been going on for quite a while, but I can't replicate it. It just happens. I now save often, especially before and after title manipulations.

On a DVD export, I usually use a 30 - 25 frame transition on my timeline, with .m2ts material 1920x1080p @ 60fps. These short transitions now pixalate, have horizontal tears, just look bad. I render these progressive with the best video quality box checked. I leave the default bitrate, and do not adjust it.

Titles on DVD menu's look terrible. I've viewing this disk with a blu ray disc player on a Panasonic 1920x1080 plasma. These discs look bad.

I use manual focus on my cameras, and manual aperture, but the video seems to plusate between crisp and fuzzy.
