System hardware not being utilized

@AAProds I didn't change anything from the options that are given when Export as MPEG is chosen. I didn't open Advanced. Whether these are the default for everyone opening that project or not I don't know. I simply clicked export as MPEG, checked the destination folder was where I wanted & clicked OK to export.

Changing the project & export to 1920x1080 added a second or two to the export time.

Changing just the export to 1920x1080 (leaving the project at 512x288) also only added a second or two to the export time

@CubeAce Ah, I understand but after I got it wrong I did change it in the quoted comment above, I think on that one I got it wrong again & only changed the resolution not the template nor did I open the advanced tab, so it was prob still at 6000kb.

Later I chose the FullHD template that has bitrate 22000-28000.

I did play the video all the way through in a previous test, it made no difference for me, & I just ran it again after playing it through, again just 2secs added to the time the 512x288 size exported at.

That has me worried. Or anyone else who may have just adjusted the initial project settings rather than load a project template from the export drop-down list such as here.

Ray, all I did was load the project and change the export res to FHD. Nothing else. The 6000kbps is stored in the project. If you want to go ahead and select something different, then that's your prerogative.

Anyway, at Ray's parameters; 10% slower across the board.

CPU: 1:39, 770: 28", 3060: 12"

It is not a criticism.

I don't even know what precise settings @johnebaker used. I am just trying to find out if everyone was on the same export settings or not as that would skewer results.

What is export time for the Magix demo project, I know it is a low resolution project 🙁, to MP4 FullHD 1920x1080 25 fps at default settings?

@CubeAce Yep agreed, @johnebaker's comment above, that I totally missed originally, it is fairly clear but 'default settings' could be misinterpreted I guess. default of the loaded project or the template.

I agree, I have modified my comment to read:

'using the MP4 FullHD 1920x1080 25 fps preset with no changes to any of the presets settings, file name excepted' in case other users also want to test and report back.

I only changed the resolution of the export and nothing else. The advanced settings are what @CubeAce posted. But in Other, I do have check marked Apply anti-interlace filter. Unchecking the anti-interlace, I am down to 13 seconds on the export.

Especially for the image of your settings as there is no mistaking them as opposed to text which can be tricky at times, especially for those who's native tongue may not be not English.

That is what I thought you meant but can understand anyone thinking it was the actual project export setting but with just the resolution adjusted.

That original project setting resolution is not even in the Magix preset export options any more.

Shows you how old that project is 🤣.

Ok... with the settings from Page 1, echoed in @CubeAce post above, export time was 17 seconds, with GPU usage reaching a max of about 65%.
