@mikecompetillo

As John CB says, your questions are perfectly legitimate and "good" but they are not relevant to this thread, which is about accessing and using multiple audio channels/tracks. Hence, with apologies, I have hidden it.

Please do as John asks and create a new thread with your questions and the relevant additional information suggested.

Thank you.

Hello, after many years of using Sony Vegas MS16 I have now 'upgraded' to Magix Movie Studio 2024 Suite. Like many others I'm struggling to change to the new editing system but I'm slowly getting there!

One problem I have and can't seem to solve is clips having mono sound. My highly directional microphone records in mono on the left speaker track. The other track is vacant. In MS16 I could see both the recorded and empty track. A right click allowed me to combine them into a single track so that the sound came out of both speakers not just the left-hand one. How can I do this with MS2024? At the moment my edited videos just have the sound from one speaker which sounds odd.

Magix Movie Maker 2022 and earlier versions 2012 and 2015

Processor: Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-6700

RAM: 16gB 64 bit operating system

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti

Monitor: Acer G246HL, resolution 1920x1080

Video Camera: Canon XHA1 (HDV) and Panasonic GS400 (SD)

Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ90 camera that also records Full HD video.

Hi,

A right click allowed me to combine them into a single track so that the sound came out of both speakers not just the left-hand one. How can I do this with MS2024?

Not necessarily required, but recommended by me, always have audio and video go on separate tracks. See how to do this in my first reply to this thread here.

On the audio part, double-click to open the Audio Cleaning interface (or Alt+A or right-click, Audio functions, Audio Cleaning). Go to Stereo FX tab, open the dropdown, select Both channels = Left.

It's easier in Video Pro X.
