Just another quick question.
Whilst editing Mini DV-AVI Type 2 files when you just need to trim a file down without loosing quality like direct copy smart mode.
I noticed that if I just do some cuts then select export as DV-AVI then there is a option checked to say copy parts without re-encoding, I think that this is what I am expecting it will do, just cut on the Keyframes which should be handy for trimming AVI which as you know has a keyframe on every frame. The reason I am asking, is that I normally use a freeware program avimux to do the cutting but I prefer the editing experience in Magix for cutting now. Normally if I have a long vhs tape that is captured in one go then there is often alot of blank space at the end or is handy to go through and trim and cut up the different parts and tidy it up before bringing back into the main time line. I guess that I am just double checking before I start any trimming since if I am correct then I will be able delete the original capture files once they are trimmed and tided up. So far I am really enjoying using Magix Edit Pro. The only thing I am missing is to be able to use my Black Magic Intensity Pro as a Video Monitor Out which I understand is only available with Video Pro X.
Is a shame that. I guess in the future perhaps? maybe an option to purchase an add on plug-in to enable the Black Magic Output Monitor for those like myself that would use it. Firsly I was looking at Video Pro X but the price was just abit too high for me at the moment. I am currently subsribed to Adobe CC but my membership is out soon so I am hoping to switch fully to Magix to save. So far I am happy with Magix Movie Edit Pro Prem and for the price is execellent value, as say the only thing I miss is the BM Output to my Big TV. Unless there is perhaps a suitable upgrade path/price arrangement I could ask magix themselfs perhaps?
Still looking to find a direct link for the contact them directly. If anyone can direct me then I would be pleased.
Thanks Alot for taking the time out to read all my recent questions guys. It is really appreciated.
