Got it 👍🏻 thanks.

@Nalmcruto

I would love to help but I don't have any. Not in Vegas, MMS or VPX. I adjust layouts as needed as a layout for me might be specific to just one problem. If I used them I would probably have loads and not know what I labelled them as my projects vary so wildly. I'm afraid my editing tends not to be organised but more like drawing or making up a tune. I look at a bunch of clips I made and think how am I going to put this lot together?

Mostly video is for my amusement. With still photography I'm much more disciplined but again I never stick to one way of editing (or one editor) but look at what I think it needs and how I want it to look or I don't get them published.

Hi,

It also shows the hidden part of the event, so i can see if I've cut/split it too soon or if there's a bit at the end I should've kept,

That would be most helpful in VPX/MS. Just press and hold the mouse button and see the cut off parts!

The Edit Trimmer only lets you know how much was cut from the head, but not from the tail. I put on my wish list to also have the original clip length or at least how much was cut from the tail. I doubt we'll ever see that as Magix can't even fix the sticky buttons in the trimmers.

@Former user I shoot a lot of 24P, so use a 12frame transition. Some things, I am "old school", moving the clips into each other and trimming them on the timeline. The Vegas Trimmer I've rarely rarely use.

@Reyfox 😁 My phone records 30fps, I chose 12fr crossfade because it seemed right, it's a cut that isn't too harsh but also a fade that doesn't dawdle for too long,👍

I've had Vegas just a few yrs & I've never seriously used the trimmer, drag the media on the timeline n chop it up 👍 & the Expand track layers thingy I've used a dozen times, I forget quite often about some stuff that's available if I don't use it often, 👴😁👍
