Guys,

Its been a while since I started this post and I thought I would give you an update.

I decided to not upgrade at the moment as prices are artificially high and stocks are low (thank you China!) Instead I have been looking for a work around with the hardware I have.

Long story short I cut my movie into 2-5 min chapters and cut n pasted each chapter into a new separate project. Each one then rendered without any issues! I have yet to join all these separate projects togther using either MS2022 or DVD Architect but it looks a promising temporary fix!
Interestingly, One other issue I seem to have uncovered as I progress with doing new chapters is that clips recorded with a fuji camera in Full HD that are .MOV files will not play in MS 2022 or 23 but they do in older versions such as MS17 and all the other usual media players on my PC. Again as a work around to finally finish the video Im working on I am converting the .MOV's to .mp4's using MS17, then using the mp4's in MS 2022 and its fine!
Anyway guys, thank you all for the many contributions to my original problem. I really appreciate it. Maybe oneday we will all enjoy a bug free version??

Hi Roger.

Mov. files should import and play in MEP 2022 but you need a copy of the QuickTime codec from within the old QuickTimeplayer downloadable from the net or from the QuickTime Alternative player. I can import mov files but don't tend to use them much.

You should raise a ticket with Magix about your other problem along with your computer specs as they may not be aware of the problem as they may not test such things on similar machine capabilities.

Ray.

Hi,

Long story short I cut my movie into 2-5 min chapters and cut n pasted each chapter into a new separate project. Each one then rendered without any issues! I have yet to join all these separate projects togther using either MS2022 or DVD Architect but it looks a promising temporary fix!

I'm not sure why you created separate projects. Why didn't you just use separate Movies in the same project? Do you know what Movies are in MS2022? Magix Movie Studio has multiple timelines, Vegas does not. Huge difference.

You can combine your separate projects easily into 1 Project. Open the first one, rename it (Save as) to cover the entire project. File, Open the second project and you will be asked if you want to close the current project or Add new project - select the latter and the second project will show up in the second Movie. Open the third, fourth, fifth, etc. same process and all of your mini projects will be in one Project with multiple Movies. Rename the Movies if needed.

In MS2022, you can Burn a DVD/BR and use the templates that come with the program, modified, if you wish.

You now have a choice of a DVD/BR with multiple movies or combining the Movies using the Merge command (under Movies dropdown). If you merge them, then you can create Chapters (there are Chapter Markers) for each of your chapters and they'll show up as chapters under the Movie.

Each Movie can have Chapters.
