Somehow, I uploaded a screen recording showing the step sequencer set to a beat pattern of INIT, so here's what I meant to send you, a screen recording showing a 120 bpm beat pattern matching the 120 bpm in Arranger.

@SP. asked you this in an earlier post:

@dmstar1956 Waht are your driver settings in the Music Maker program settings?

Please tell us this and especially which driver model you are using.

Hi

What is the version number of Music Maker you have installed?

This is what I get when following what you have done according to your video clips:

Note the timeline cursor does not move and the beats are in sync.

Driver settings...

dmstar1956 wrote on 6/8/2022, 8:01 AM

Version 30.0.4.44

Looks like I don't have the latest patches installed, but the sync-latency issue was happening before when I did.

Reply to John CB:

I see what you are saying in the clip you sent.

For some reason, the Beatbox step sequencer in my copy of the program won't run unless Arranger is also running. In the clip you provided, the step sequencer runs by itself.

Why doesn't my version of the program work that way I wonder.

@dmstar1956 Have you tried the ASIO driver Magix Low Latency?

dmstar1956 wrote on 6/8/2022, 8:52 AM

Reply to SP: I changed the driver to the ASIO Magix Low Latency driver and now things work as shown in John CB's screen recording, only I get no sound now (?).

I just now tried the Direct Sound driver and it worked. The drum sounds now synchronize with the beats in step sequencer during playback. But I have to turn playback in Arranger for playback to work in the step sequencer. In John CB's screen recording, he was able to activate step sequencer without Arranger playing.

The way its working now is the way I saw it demonstrated in the tutorial for Beatbox Loops.

Hi

. . . . Why doesn't my version of the program work that way I wonder . . . .

Possibly because you are missing 4 patches - these include 2 major patches 30.0.5.47 and 30.0.6.53 - these completely replaced the program and the latest patch is 30.0.6.54.

One of the major patches fixed issues with Beatbox.

BTW I am John EB not to be confused with John CB who also posted in page1 of this topic.

I tried the WASAPI driver and it seems to work the best. Arranger and the step sequencer synchronize properly and I can play the step sequencer alone.

dmstar1956 wrote on 6/8/2022, 10:55 AM

I'll load the patches right away and let you know if there are any new issues.

SP. wrote on 6/8/2022, 11:24 AM

@dmstar1956 If you chose Magix Low Latency you need to click on the "Advanced..." button to enable your inputs and outputs. Usually all other three driver options are only recommended if your system doesn't work with ASIO.
