Analog Synths files cannot be found

You just completely avoided answering my question and repeated stuff that's already been said. I need a "Yes, that is the right thing" or "No, that's not the right thing" answer. I know what you told me to do, but it isn't as simple as you are making it out to be.

This what I'm working with, there are no other programs in the list that show up that have anything to do with MAGIX software on my PC. There is nothing listed for Analog Synths or Vita.

@ParadoxMM

Hi

I have compared your Instruments to those I have and it would appear that, with the exception of Vita, all the standard instruments that come with MMM 2021 Premium are installed, plus some you have purchased.

You have Vita LE instead of Vita , and the Analog Synth icon is missing in the track instrument selection dialog, this would suggest they are from an earlier version of MMM and have not been updated.

Please post a screen shot of the dialog that shows the registered versions of the program as found under Help, Music Maker Store, Activated content.

Also do you have the VST-Bridge feature installed?

I do have the VST-Bridge installed as shown here.

These are all the instruments I have installed.

Here is the dialog for the Activated Editions.

You said, I have had extensive issues with getting the Vita virtual instrument "Analog Synths" to work in MAGIX Music Maker.

You said, you uninstalled Analog synths but still shows up in Instruments list.

so therefore there must be remnants still in the registry.

re-install Analog synths and this time completely remove it using Revo Uninstaller to remove all of the related registry entries.

hope this helps you.

@ParadoxMM

You said, ”I misunderstood, I guess. I thought you meant the installer for Music Maker. I don't have an installer for the Analog Synths”....................

okay I see with your previous post you now don’t have installer for Analog Synth.

I was following up on @SP. advice, it was mentioned to you to use Revo, I was stating that it can rectify issues and left instructions.

@ParadoxMM I will try it myself on my system this evening to uninstall Analog Synths with Revo and tell you if this works and make some screenshots.

Thank you, I hope I wasn't coming across as rude before. I'm not the best at figuring these things out myself.

@ParadoxMM @PATIENT-X

I checked the uninstallation with Revo Uninstaller. I believe Revo cannot handle this particular case because it looks for the registry entries of the Magix Content and Sounpools Uninstaller and wants to remove them which doesn't help.

So I tried something different. I downloaded the free Tool RegCool from https://kurtzimmermann.com/index_e.html and installed it. It is a handy registry editor that is more powerful than the standard windows registry editor.

I uninstalled Analog Synths 1 and Analog Synths 2 (because it has nearly the same name and I don't want to look through all its entries in the registry) from my computer with the Magix Content and Sounpools Uninstaller like I described before.

Now I open RegCool.

I press CTRL+F to open the find function and in the search box I enter analog synths and click on Find.

RegCool then searches for registry entries with the value analog synths

I only get a handful of relevant search results that I can open by double clicking:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store, C:\Users\MyUserName\Desktop\Vita Normal\Vita Analog Synths 2_normal.exe (this is were I placed my installer file, this means this entry is not important)
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store, C:\Users\MyUserName\Desktop\Vita Normal\Vita Analog Synths_normal.exe (this is were I placed my installer file, this means this entry is not important)
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders, C:\Users\MyUserName\MAGIX\Content und Soundpools\MxSynth\Analog Synths 2\, (installation folder of Analog Synths 2)
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders, C:\Users\MyUserName\MAGIX\Content und Soundpools\MxSynth\Analog Synths\, (installations folder of Analog Synths 1)
  • Some more entries like "Recent folders" because I looked in the empty installation folder.

That is anything that is left on my system. In case there is registry garbage on your system RegCool should be able to find more entries in the registry. @ParadoxMM Could you please check what RegCool finds in your registry after uninstalling Analog Synths 1 and Analog Synths 2?

PATIENT-X wrote on 4/16/2021, 6:06 AM

@SP.

Thanks for the investigative work it's really appreciated, as you said there can be other similarities in Magix content Revo looks for within the registry which can have a negative result.

I will take note of RegCool software and once again, Thank you.

Alright, so I finally got around to uninstalling Analog Synths and Analog Synths 2 as you suggested, and checked the registries with RegCool. I got a good few entries, but I'm not sure how to post them here without it being a huge wall of text.

@ParadoxMM You can select all search results with the right mouse click context menu and export them via the same menu as a Win2k/XP registration file. You can then upload the file to a site like https://wetransfer.com/
