PhotoStory - Transitions - Creating, Adjusting and Applying to All

browj2 wrote on 12/3/2019, 1:26 PM

Using Magix PhotoStory Premium, this tutorial shows how to create and edit transitions for photos, how to apply a transition to all photos on the timeline, and how to compensate for transitions by adjusting the duration of photos. The tutorial also shows how to adjust the duration of transitions and how to modify the settings of certain transitions.

Hi there. I've just watched your excellent video but it doesn't address my 'problem'. I'm about to throw my laptop out the window because I just CANNOT work out how to change the transition length in a run of photos.

These photos are interspersed with video clips (where I only want a 1 second transition between each clip) but I want to put a 2'30" transition length between the photos.  At the moment there's only a 1 second transition between the whole 612 photos/clips.

Do I need to specify start and end points?  If so, how do I do that?  I've tried ticking the boxes but I don't know what to do after doing that, if indeed that's what I need to do.  I can move the cursor along the track but as soon as I click on the transitions button the cursor goes back to the first photo in the run.

I've tried doing all of the above in Storybook mode but it makes no difference.

I'm becoming increasingly disenchanted with my Photostory Deluxe 2024 program which is very sad because I've been using Photostory for many years now without any major issues.

Any suggestions you can make would be gratefully received.
