Dear friends of music,
This is a very special song, you can define as progressive rock.
We worked around the idea of a dialogue between two different worlds, represented by the gentle sound of the piano and orchestral parts and the more hard and rough sounds of drums and electric guitars (which at some stages sound like the roar of the tiger)
Both sounds maintain their characteristics, but coexist without ever overpowering one another and in a harmonious way.
We poetically titled the song "the tiger and the moon"
The message we want to convey is that different worlds which, as can be the men and their cultures, must dialogue, understanding each other and co-exist peacefully, respecting each other, without overpowering, but in a harmonious way, just as we have tried to do in this song.

Trish and Rino

PS...The presentation was written by Rino with only a few minor adjustments by me.

Hi Trish & Rino:

This is a wonderful song.  It's obvious that a good deal of care and planning went into the creation of this composition/arrangement.

And Trish, your thoughtful words are so apropos.

I'll leave it there guys...

The idea to combine your piano play with hardrock elements is not bad

but to be honest I don´t think the  sound mix is too great. The drums could

sound more like natural rock drums. Temporarily  some instruments are

way too loud. The piano should have more space in the mix. Sorry.

Hallo!

Mir hat's gefallen. 4* ++++

Liebe Grüße

Trish the rock chick escapes the chains of her respectable teacher persona, with a little help from Rino - and to deserved public acclaim.  There are and have been some great collaborations going on recently (well OK I've only been here since recently, so this may be the norm, but I wouldn't know).  This definitely rates as an extremely successful one and one in which both parties seem to have adapted their natural style to create something new.  How cool is that?

Many congratulations to both of you.  Seems to me there is a precendent set now for future such melding of minds with you two immensely talented chappies ( a lady can be a chappy in my world - really Trish).

Hi Trish & Rino:

There is one caveat that I Would like to raise.  Although this is (without doubt) a marvelous work by both Trish and Rino, I would caution those who participate in future collaborations to be aware of the perils of mixing down delicate piano phrasings (especially when accompanied by drums, horns, bass, or other naturally voluminous instruments).

I have listened to this delightful song several times and have noticed that Trish's piano is quite faint.  The volume definitely has to be augmented during her pianistic phrasings.  As it stands, I had to turn up the volume in order to obtain the full effects of the piano (which of course, also enhanced the volume of the other instruments).  Not an ideal situation (to say the least).

As I mentioned in my previous comments, Trish and Rino has produced a stellar musical presentation, but a little re-mixing (if possible) would give this sound the fuller dimension that it so richly deserves.

This is just my personal assessment.  I hope that it is taken in the 'constructive' spirit in which it was intended.

A me sembra un buon lavoro, un poco originale, ma molto buono, e se nessuno tentasse di percorre nuove strade saremmo ancora ai tempi del minuetto, bravi  a tutte e due, 5* da tgfmusica, Gianfranco, ciao

I rarely like to comment on my own (or partially my own)  songs but I want to make certain that everyone is aware that all comments are heartily welcomed..  I, and I am sure Rino, take no offense at constructive criticisms.  I feel that constructive comments are what improves a musician's future compositions and I would hope others feel the same way.

There is a great degree of likes and dislikes as far as music is concerned so of course there will be a variety of comments, some good and some not so good.  I feel that if the listener offers suggestions on how to improve, especially on collaborations, that they have actually listened to the song with a keen ear and without preconceived notions.

So I thank you all for your comments, suggestions and thoughts pertaining to this collaboration .

this new partnership, which had long been expecting it because the heuno friend, had warned me that it was nearing completion the song.
I would call this track a symphonic rock, all seems well defined, and the sounds are very light and melodic.
not the rock that I prefer, but the quality is not discussed, so my opinion is positive, I would say that the collaboration is successful

Hey Trish, Rino hey ... that's not so easy to please or to deal with reviewers .... I know about your and your Trish can ... but it is missing the song of deep, to sound ... of soul .... is presented very vividly ... without deep - without heart ... may be that you see the different .... but then this represents for me ... it's too little soul, as I could make star because ... I feel what you want ... but you have not reached all ... brave .... but sorry greetings to you all ... Andi

A song of this complexity is hard to handle with regard to the mastering. Now, you are both rather composers or instrumentalists than sound-engeneers - and so this song, which surely is a good song, would need a final mastering to really reach the audience. The performance itself is fine, but there is much more possible with this track, I think. You see, I can only accompany to what Griff says below: I guess he's right, there is far more potential in this song than this version can show.

Former user wrote on 11/17/2014, 9:28 PM

Hi Trish/Rino!

The song is good but Andi,Griff and Thomas have right. The mastering goes better. :-) It is not a critic to your playing or a critic on this idea. Andi say´s, for this moment is without a soul. Please, make this song again, with better mastering! I know, to master a song is very heavy and from time to time, I have the same problems, but I test a many and find the right one. A little more time and patient and then it gives a good result of a hard work, ok? But hey, it is a good collaboration, without doubt. For the idea it gives 3 Stars from me. Thank you for send the song!

Bravissimi!

With this piece I and Trish, have tried to offer something original, someone pointed out to us some imperfections in the mix, but I still think that this is a good job.
We thank who made constructive criticism, and we also thank all those who have proven to enjoy our music.

Greetings to all and especially to Trish.
