All original, composed with synth (and sound effects). I also recorded an improvised solo with a toy accordian. It is the same accordian that can be heard in my song "The Land Near Candyland".

I have been working on this song for about five or six weeks. It was inspired by the epic prog rock songs of the band "Glass Hammer". This was an interesting project for me, because it is longer than almost all my other songs, and it has a completely progressive style. That is why the title thanks Steve Babb and Fred Schendell. They are the main members of Glass Hammer, the inspiration of this song.

Thanks for listening! I hope this is not too unusual for anyone. The picture is of Steve (bass) and Fred (keyboards). I found it on google.

Oh, and one more thing. If you would like an mp3 of this song or any of my other songs, please email me here.  I would be happy to send you songs, so feel free to ask.

I like this style.... you take your time to develop the harmonies...
the rhythm starts somehow a little slower as usual.... but I think it very good...

I will know your music blindfolded! The melodies are very interesting and rich
in their construction!

Its nice to hear a longer track.... was great inspiration!!!

LG samp

excellent progressive structures !!! ciao da sandro

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

You really have captured the prog rock sound. It takes me back to the golden age of Prog (1976-1980). I can remember listening to so many of these bands I can't recall the names. I had a drummer friend who was really into it. Sitting in his little apartment we would listen to these albums. Being a strictly 4/4 rock guy, sometimes I would swear that there was a defect on the vinyl because of the tempo and time changes. Good stuff.

Super cool Travis...

For the tracks, getting them through e-mail is kind of forever process, why not try using a site like Reverbnation of Magix Free On line album.
