All original. All lyrics and vocals by me. All additional instruments and sounds by me. These include: tambourine sounds, "thunder" sound effect, crash cymbal, snare drum, slide whistle, acoustic guitar, and hand clapping.

So here it is, finally. This is the last remaining song from my progressive rock album called "Initiate Progress". Here's the final track list:

1. Some Are Destined To Search
2. What The Hawk Sees
3. First Intermission
4. Quiet Voice
5. Second Intermission
6. Fictitious Streams
7. Thoughts Amassing

The time seemed to go by pretty fast while I was working on this album. I guess it took about 7 months, all of which is now a very fond memory for me. Well, before I start rambling, here are the lyrics:

Still falling short
only now, the sum of heroes slightly greater
Still waiting for
the day when their collective skill is handed down
I count the years
tell myself it shouldn't still be this difficult
for me to hear
something which seems to be percieved so naturally
by everyone but me...

Now I just can't see how, with me, you could still be pleased
because it's been so long since any of my days were siezed
How pathetic I am when all my time, I waste
So it's no surprise that I rarely feel embraced
There's an evil voice that says:
Remember? You couldn't wait to enlighten your mind.
Ironic. Now you can see you're still so far behind.

Instead I listen to the quiet voice of destiny
whispering with tenderness and subtlety
Can you hear it call? There's meaning to it all,
so realize the vision as it's meant to be

Stay on the path, it's only yours
See where it leads, never afraid of the trials
Make all the days fond memories
So tireless, free from the weight of denial

Keep pressing on, guided by fate
Just take it slow, all the pressure releasing
And on the way, shine forth a light
so luminous, you can see the brightness increasing

Listen to the quiet voice of destiny
whispering with tenderness and subtlety
Can you hear it call? There's meaning to it all,
so realize the vision as it's meant to be

Now harder than ever before to see the reason
Maybe I'm still trying to settle a score
Now lost in dark corridors of this labyrinth
where I recall the voice that had been ignored

Let me walk in the sun and dwell in the light
Let my way become clear and ascend to new heights
Let me hear you again, oh innocent guide
Let me near you, my friend, together we'll reside

So clear now I hear something telling me to
Initiate progress, activate advancement
Invigorate the plans and celebrate their momentum
Initiate progress not only to find a paradise
but to share it with the world

But why is it infuriating, hearing all that I'm creating?
Should I constantly be guessing why it can be so depressing?
Always too many restrictions, battling countless afflictions
All stemming from imperfection, plaguing me like an infection

We fight the guidance and direction lent to us by a reflection
of intelligence beyond the minds who feel that they've been wronged
Always a defiant question, all of this to learn a lesson?
Ask not for compensation, but for strength and dedication

Somewhere in the noise I can still hear a song, and
somewhere within I can tell there's something glorious to be found

Pure joy in the depth of a song
Real tears for the glory beyond
Great power, a feeling so strong
Is this an unbreakable bond?

Pure joy in the depth of a song
(Listen to the quiet voice of destiny)
Real tears for the glory beyond
(whispering with tenderness and subtlety)
Great power, a feeling so strong
(Can you hear it call? There's meaning to it all)
Is this an unbreakable bond?
(so realize the vision as it's meant to be)
Initiate progress, activate advancement
Invigorate the plans and celebrate their momentum
Initiate progress not only to find a paradise
but to share it with the world...

As you can probably tell, there are some recurring themes throughout the lyrics of the album (mainly "Some Are Destined to Search", "Quiet Voice", and "Thoughts Amassing")

Thanks for listening! As always, I would love to hear your most honest opinions.

And thanks so much to everyone who listened and commented on all the other songs. This album is sincerely dedicated to all of you. I'm so grateful that my music was worthy of your time.

I should also mention my prog rock inspirations, such as: Glass Hammer, The Flower Kings (and Roine Stolt's solo album "The Flower King"), Camel, and some of Arjen Lucassen's work. Without all of them, this album would not exist, nor would my music be what it has become.

Lastly, I found the picture on google. It seemed to fit with some of the lyrics.

Thanks again! God bless.

intessanter Song,dennoch seltsamer Aufbau....

okay ... the male voice is not bad, and sound is clear and where the "S" is heard always very low
lacking constructive criticism here is very easy to me, because I, I hear so some things that I think can be improved ... the synth. and piano and key are hard at the red limit
drown out the song a lot
The vocals were nice but the song followed in my opinion, no right line!!!
And therefore, to follow what is constant crackle quite disruptive ......
intessanter song, yet strangely construction ....

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

"Let me walk in the sun and dwell in the light

Would I be correct in assuming that you are a Seeker Travis? Your music transends your young age. I will tell you,as one who has been seeking truth for many years now, that the more I learn, the less I know. I sense that feeling in your lyrics. That's ok. Don't be frustrated by this for this is the way of progress. The music is good (too many 16th notes for my ears),but the words are outstanding.
