OPEN HOUSE BLUES BAND:

Hi To You All:

Once again the Open House Blues has reunited to have a great time toghether, and record one more great song.

This time the choice of the song, was to a song that doesn't need any presentation, specially for those who are above of 35 / 40 years old.

Once again we had a marveillous time toghether, and we really enjoyed to record this, i really hope you also enjoy listening to this.

The main work, is of course from our Jazzman, Mr. Kafka (yes is true, we have our personall Kafka ) and the rest of us, we decide to intoxicate the poor pink lady .

The result is that you are going to listen, please enjoy it!!!

( The original of this song is from Henry Mancini and can and should be seen and heard at youtube )

OPEN HOUSE BLUES BAND IS:

Jean Loup - Guitars-FX

Manuel Rodrigues - Clean Guitar

José Kafka . Keyboards/Drum Programming

Emanuel Correia - Bass

Hi Emanuel:

Even if you are not between the ages of 35/40, this classic theme has been heard forever; commercials, movie excerpts, etc.  So, there is no excuse.

I am quite thrilled to 'see' that you talented musicians have once again reunited.  When you guys get together, the results are always a real pleasure to listen.

I like the different "jazzy" flavored update on this.  For example, José Kafka's organ and drumming sounds -- it really helps to contemporize the piece, and opens up an avenue for the other instruments.

I'm telling you man, your bass-playing has gotten so good over the last few tunes, I am thoroughly impressed.  This is how it should be here at this forum; musicians coming together and melding their musical talents, and thus, producing some real good sounds for the rest of us to sit back and enjoy.

Tell the rest of the fellows that they are also good chefs, and their collaborative efforts have delivered one hell of a dish!

Real cool...

Griff

Hi Emanuel,

I have to agree with everything Griff said but i will add some of my own thoughts.too. Your keyboard player, Kafka, did some really great inprov on the melody.  OK... what was that one chord?  Was it a   B diminished 7  instead of the normally played B7 chord if you are in the key of Dminor????  (if you can find out, I would appreciate it because things like that get under my skin and I have to figure it out)  At any rate I think it created a much better harmony and Kafka really accented that chord too.

I liked the laid back, unrushed feel of your arrangement better than the original too.  Funny, I have toyed with the idea of playing this song but had not yet figured out what I wanted to do with it to make it different.  So you  guys figured it out!
Great, great arrangement, Emanuel

Trish

Hallo Emanuel,

Viele Grüsse an alle beteiligten Musiker !

Hi! Den Pinken kenne ich auch. Auch die Musik dazu. Wollte nur nicht den Anschluss verlieren. Das Original ist auch sehr gut. Gut gemacht habt ihr das.

Hoi Emanuel

I'm curious, because I think the original song very very good.
Your interpretation pleases me very well. Sounds very modern with great harmonies and sounds.

Great interpretation of this classic.

Yeah, I love this interpretation of the famous track!

You've played it on real instruments, my biggest respect for this. More of your music, please!
