One lonely fishy in a bowl,
swimming with his fins no where to go.
Except round and round is all that it's worth,
never outbound to the oceans of the earth.
A man-made waterfall-motionless waves,
the one place to escape is in his artificial cave.
Plants are made of plastic-imitating life
Every inch, like it's his casket-spent looking for his wife.
An air-pump system supplying the oxygen that he needs,
And food is given daily in proportions of which he feeds.
A ceramic castle and a treasure chest,
with a skeleton holding the key.
He swims around and looks his best,
but still confused is all he be.
A fake mermaid sits upon her log,
looking oh so nice unto his sights,
Bubbles emitting from a frog,
Fluorescent lights are always on it's never night.
To think up it isn't right.
He can't even blink,
So he don't even sleep
his whole damn life he's been living on the brink,
Of what's insane or what is real.
Cuz where he he eats is where he stinks.
And some tapping sound it just repeats.
Tapping over and over like some crazy beat,
rapping hard – fast and keen.
He wished it'd stop it fucking mean!!
Three angels standing with their hymnal books
in which they never even sing.
A clown car, sunken down and he wonders ,
“how do I drive this thing?”
Because he would like to drive away,
get away on from this place
But,
There are no roads on where stays
So,
He swims around some more
And forgets that the race is only with himself.
Aimlessly floating in cir cles within a cage that sits upon a shelf
Stuck in his man-made coffin,
Helpless and always alone.
With such colorful gravel that's pleasing to the eye.
He can't pack up and leave so this is his home,
and for all of the reasons he doesn't know why.
So, the rest of his life he spent motionless in his confined little space,
As so many thoughts dance on through his head,
And everyday that damn tapping sound, that's rapping out loud
Banging away unto his place to make sure he is no dead.
A few years rolled by and nothing had changed,
Except the tapping sound made home deranged.
There eventually arrived a day that wasn't the same.
He died insane and finally then he was taken away.
With shame in his heart he got flushed down the drain.
And, through all of his life. He left with no name.
