During April 2014 Easter Holidays I was testing the New MAGIX Music Maker 14, it sounds awesome when one uses any old  sample from 2007 - 2012. Also MAGIXs Old instruments have amzing new 2014 capabilty to produce awesome sample that sounds amazingly clean and deep, comapred to the old fuzz box sound o f  COMODORE 64K LOL, I guess we got used to old MAGIX Music Maker  instruments producing fuzz samples  from year  2007 up till 2010ish; but now meet the same old instruments but totally revamped format (I think code got rewritten) for Windows 8,  to produce clean deep sounds without fuzzy sounds.

PS. You may notice that on occasions when opening/cliking on "FX compressed sound samples" to put them onto Tracks, you may get an error message saying the file is alreday open or in use, I guess MAGIX will produce some fix for that error message soon, till then you will have to shutdown the MAGIX 14 and restart to load "FX compressed" sample onto the Track. 
Also for some old samples (2007-2012) the sound crackles/judders, so try expending Magix Tracks horizontally with plus + key, and that somehow stops the cracking noise, maybe the frequency of old samples is too compressed and MAGIX 14 dosent like that, or maybe Windows 8 is the culprit; only the MAGIX code writers will know what could be the cause.
