Title: In Memory of Tony Carbone
Artists: Travis Johnson
Album: Self-Powered Celebration

All original, composed with synth, beatbox, and sound effects. All lyrics and vocals by me.

This song is dedicated to Tony Carbone, who was the singer and songwriter of a band called "Bikeride" from California. He also played many instruments in the band. His music is one of my inspirations. It is so happy, refreshing, and full of life. Here's one song by Bikeride:

Tony died of cancer in 2008, and I composed this music some time that year. I don't remember exactly when. I had an idea for some lyrics, but this final version of the song (with all lyrics) did not get finished until recently.

Lyrics:

I never saw your band in concert

It was a goal of mine, but it would never be accomplished

You passed away two years ago

I love your music, I just wanted you to know...

So when this song ascends to heaven

My only hope is that it puts a smile upon your face

And brings some comfort to your spirit

And makes you happy when you hear it...

Chorus:

Tony, you will not be forgotten

Your memory will live on forever

(backing vocals) Oh, you're never gonna fade away in my heart

Always you will remain

Your joy in life was so contagious

It spread to all who heard the songs you wrote, so optimistic

There is no one who could replace you

But there is nothing that could erase you...

Chorus...

For the chorus, I recorded 16 vocal tracks for a "choir" sound. I saved the vocals as an mp3 and put it in with the music. I actually used it twice (with 2 different effects) so technically there are 32 voices during the chorus.

Anyway, thanks for listening. The picture is of Tony (found on google). I highly recommend Tony's band called "Bikeride".

Hi,

I dont know him, but it is always sad when some one dies. This is a great track to keep him alive. Very sweet music with nice lyrics.

But I think you should use a better microphone or mix your voice in another way.

An excellent arrangement. Maybe your voice a little bit louder? 5*+

Very soft and very sad - I loved the chorus in its richness accompanied by the drum!

Nice to dedicate this song to someone who gave you something important.

Hi

a very personal song. I guess the song will enjure a smile upon his face. That`s a good song anyway and - yes, i hear a good singer. But bring your voice into the foreground, please.

Greetings

A very personal music, but of great intensity. I hope that other inspirations come as good as this one. I welcome here, also good musician you are.

A great job in devoted love for Tony Carbone...Very genuine thought !! ciao da sandro

Sandro Glavina is an italian composer, named L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The choice of the name derives from the title of the album "L'uomo e l'ombra" of the band "Abstract Music Nuova Esistenza", an experimental group founded by Sandro Glavina together with his friends in the mid-70s.

In the period 2009-2022, L'Uomo e L'Ombra has done 84 albums. The compositions of Sandro Glavina are partly influenced by progressive rock. Sandro has developed a personal style with many experimentations and actualizations. He offers music beyond borders by intertwining different styles in crossover with each other. Prog, psychedelia, classical, post-rock, jazz, pop are some of the influences that dissolve in ambient atmospheres, citations of contemporary music and minimalist nuances. Sandro Glavina aka L'Uomo e L'Ombra plays the music using VSTI synthesizers, keyboards and adds some loops. Sandro isn't a professional musician, composes and plays music just for fun, but his works reach a good outcome, pleasant to listen. L'UOMO E L'OMBRA

Thank you for those wonderful lyrics about our son, Tony.  It is so true that he was such a happy person, and is loved by so many people.  We miss him so much, and it is so good to know that he touched the lives of people who never met him.  Keep writing your music--it was Tony's passion.  Harva Carbone

Thank you for writing a song about my late husband, Tony.  Tony was optimistic and lived a happy life.  Even before he was sick he used to talk about how his music would be around even when he wasn't. I'm glad you've been inspired by Tony.  I hope you continue making music.
