This song was written by David Benoit, one of my favorite contemporary composers. As he is primarily a jazz musician, this song is a little different than most of his because it leans more towards the "easy listening" side. I have changed things around a bit and added a couple of different instruments so I hope he doesn't mind but I have mostly stuck with his original piano part.

I was in the midst of working on this song when my father-in-law passed away this past Thursday and I thought the title was fitting so....this one's for you, Pops.

This song is such a beautiful tribute. I too love David Benoit and you are correct, this was a song that was not composed in his usual style, but he is such a wonderful musician and artist that he can play anything and it comes out magnificent...and I can say the same about you my fellow pianist.

As usual, you were superb on the piano and the added instrumentation added just the right touch. Mr. Benoit would be very impressed and pleased with your rendition of his song. Whether happy, sad, excited, or bored a seasonsed musician knows how to express it in their music and it is cleared heard in its execution. I must say that your execution is always one of masterful composition, perfection, and greatness.

What can I say? It is great and wonderful again and tears get´s in my eyes again when I think about your daddy! I hope it goes a little bit better and you can think about forward. Our Life is short and we must do all the nice things. I hope you find ever the right way to do this things. With your music, you make many people so happy, like me!
