Title: Concrete Cocoon
Artists: Mark Coers

My first little project using Music Maker 17. I recorded all of the guitar work and underlying rhythmic tracks (drums and bass sequencing) the old fashioned way - with a digital Akai DPS 16. I used Music Maker 17 to add a few samples, and for compression and EQ. I should be getting a Behringer guitar port within the next few days, and I am interested in seeing what I can do using Music Maker exclusively, as opposed to, recording through a stand-alone recorder, and importing a stereo mix into the program.

Hopefully, someone will get some enjoyment from this little song.

Thank you redisland. I had to use a language translator to understand you! Sorry about moving the drums back in the mix. In the past, several people have mentioned that my drums are mixed too high, and my guitars are pushed back too far! Lately, I have been trying to put the guitars more "in your face"!

Spartano: Thank you very much for your compliments!

royalnation: Thank you very much! I am a Vai fan, but I really love Eddie VH, Cris Oliva, Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads, and several other guitar players. I'll am going to check out your song right now!

Yes Sir, a straight rock guitar - well played! Your sound is a little "bassy" (...in german: "es klingt dumpf").

However - great, but the end of your song are very short

Welcome to the community - VOX

The guitar is perfect. The drums and the bass need more dynamic. We all know in this com that the mastering is a hard job . The end of the song is quite abrupt. Perhaps you can work a little more on the song. 4***.

Best Regards This

Thank you This! I appreciate the feedback. I am really surprised that people want a longer song!!  LOL

I actually figured that people would get bored with endless guitar noodling!

Excellent guitar playing!!!!!!

But as a song, with this mix and this drums,....

....the end, hmmmm ...3*

The intensity of the bass guitar, drums and synth sounds can´t keep up with the mighty guitar sound. The overall sound is a little dull.

But otherwise this recording´s  got a lot of energy.

THANKS GUYS!! I think that I'll change the end now!  LOL ... Too many people didn't like my abrupt end. I also think that I'll try remixing the drums and bass a little bit!

Thanks again for all of the good comments and criticism -
