Breaking Free

Hello Family,

I present another song from the ancient archives of Brenda Craven called "Breaking Free."  This pop song represents the struggle to break free from the everyday things that keep us bound and prevent us from being elevated to the place we were created to be:  legalism, prejudice, persecution, jealousy, deception, fear...to list a few.  Before we can reach our potential, these chains have to not only be broken, but destroyed so that they can no longer be used again.  Only then, can we be truly free by realizing our true identity.

Enjoy!

Wonderful sentiments, but life is full of opposite extremes and everything inbetween, one can not appreciate one without the other. With every freedom there is a chain tempering our actions.

Beautifully composed Music 4*

Hi Brenda:

Truer words have hardly been spoken, my musical friend.  "Struggle" is an important component to growth.  To quote the great Frederick Douglass, “If there Is no Struggle, there Is no progress”.  And, that is an ancient fact...

This song represents another entry from you that absolutely energizes.  Love the change of pace nearing the song's 3/4 mark.   As always (as my mother always says) you know how to put on a show!

(BTW, I'm still working on the piece).  I'll 'speak' with you again soon...

Have yourself a fantastic weekend!

Yes, Rock and Pop feeling. A little surprise, didn´t expect this. But it shows: You are in different styles at home, and the result is always the result of an excellent musician.

Thanks for sharing.

Brenda isn't only a great musician it seems you're also a bit of a philosopher.

A very nice pop song ... the intro melody seems somehow familiar.

Hi Brenda

Well, I wasn't expecting this but I totally agree with TommyG.....this switch in genre shows your are an accomplished musician. Since I just finished listening, I'll start at the end and say what a great fade you put at the end.  A lot of songs have such an abrupt ending that it's like fallng off a cliff.  You give the listener a parachute.

Very, very nice and I wish I could do drums like you do!

Hoi Gospelbj

I really like this piece. The guitars and keys play beautiful melodies and the synths sound reminds me of something in the 80s.

The drum track I find a bit noisy, or something wild.

I have the song very pleased to hear.

Hi Brenda,

You wrote really true and honest words. I agree with that in 100%, I would like to destroy my chains, because they limit my movements and it's not comfortable. It would be great to feel really free without this burden.

Very nice pop song- this is another your "different song" It was a pleasure to listen to your sound. Good job!!!

Greetings,

Edyta

Amen!

Well done!  Loved the groove. The change up at 2:07 was really effective, loved the way you re-introduced the groove.

Great work!

Best Regards,

Stu
