Title: Pilgrimage
Artists: Roxall
Album: My Universe

Every album needs an epic. The 9th track of my homemade record is mine.

This brooding epic alt rock journey song was a labour of love for me.

I have uploaded this track twice already, each slightly improved and remastered. This is the 3rd time as it

has been remastered for the CD album.

Please sit back read the lyrics and enjoy the journey.

And like all my songs, It was all done with Magix midis and my vocals. the only soundpools used are FX.

We're on a pilgrimage a journey of our lives

The highs and lows, the ebbs and flows,

The darkness and the light.

From the moment we are born

We are molded we are formed

To realize our parents dreams

To be a cog in the machine.

And on this pilgrimage some are fortunate and free.

In luck and chance and circumstance

they will be the best they can be.

But most will try in vain.

in poverty and pain

In a world that worships money and greed

In the guise of a God and his clergy.

And on this Pilgrimage oh the places you will go.

The actions you will take

and the things you will be shown.

The lessons you will learn.

The love that you will yearn.

This ride is hard for most who play so hang on tight and go........

GO!

The meaning of life is meaningless.

There's no salvation in righteousness.

A great man once said something clear.

There's a choice between love and fear..

If you can find happiness.

Not at someone else expense.

Then you have found a pure way to live.

On this journey this pilgrimage.

This song is pretty good, I like it. The lyrics are really good too, make me think a bit. Your voice sounds perfect for a song like this.

Hi Roxall:

The proof is always in the effort.  It is obvious (unless someone is deaf) that you have taken your time perfecting this song.  One can always tell.

The mix is damn good.  No fear, this arrangement speaks for itself.  And yes, the lyrics are quite meaningful, good buddy.

As they say, a job well done.  This session is more than worthy of our time.

very light and pleasant background music in chillout style effects that blend to a music that is perhaps more ambient than rock in the first part, but still high quality smepre
I would call very good overall performance

Bonjour Roxall,

Great remastering of a song I recall well, Roxall.  Beautifully done.  I still want to add the word 'for' quietly at the end of the line, 'the love that you will yearn'. after the  rhyme has been made.  Purely a personal taste thing.  Superb protest song about something that's clearly wrong with the way this monetarily driven world works.

Favourited (again I think).
Cheers,
Nick

One of my favorites - this new master doesn't change a thing.

This song is epic indeed.

Love it.

5* - long time in Fav's.

All the best, Norbert

Aww...come on - this HAS to go into the Favs again.

Yes,  I'm sure that I've heard a former version of this!

The intro is pretty unusual for a rock song.
However, this song is still great. Noisy and powerful ... simply great.

yes.  Epic indeed. Some hard hitting rock at 1:56 (or thereabouts).  It makes for a nice contrast  between the intro and the "guts" of the song.

Well done

Trish

This is pretty cool! I really appreciate that there is someone here doing something different like this, putting a lot of work into an original epic piece. And I'll always be glad to hear more stuff like that. I'm not a big fan of most hard rock/metal unless it is mixed with other elements, or if it is focused more on composition than just heaviness for the sake of heaviness. You obviously care a lot about composition, so I appreciate that, and all the time you spent on it. And I'm impressed with the lyrics too. It's clear that you put real thought into those as well. Keep it up.

Salutations amicales.
