Hi Peter

You are right about my SShots in MoviePlusX6 and I have corrected this as below. The first 2 SShots are what I have achieved on a from and too zoom in MEP using masks. The second two are SShots from MoviePlus without the use of any masks. I think I have to accept that in MEP I will have to get use to using masks. I am well versed in video editing as I joined a video club in 1998 and over the past 22 years won on numerous occasions the Annual Best Film Award. The club closed in 2018 due to lack of membership. MoviePlus is no longer supported by the manufacturers which is why I have changed to MEP. I have viewed many of the training videos in MEP and will continue learning. I do thank everyone for there help over the past 48 hours and in that time have learned a great deal on MEP

Many thanks

Frank

Hi

Peter is correct in the MoviePlusX6 screenshots do show the increase in size and zoom.

. . . . inadvertently grown a little and changed aspect ratio . . . .

The Crop effect used - is the same as the Section and Size & Position effects rolled into one in MEP and IIRC (it is a long time since I used Serifs video editor) the keyframing is automatic.

The change in AR is interesting - it looks like the Match project aspect is on and Stretch is unchecked, and yet the image has been stretched wider - this may have been done after using Transform (Size & Position + Rotation all in one).

Hi Frank,

Are you saying that you'd rather use unmasked (unblurred/unfeathered) images as you did in your previous video editor? If so then I'm puzzled, because it's done with key framing in the same way that I assume you used for your successful masked images. Just without using masks.

This example placed four KFs and set their size, position and rotation.

Hi Terry,

No Terry, I am now quite happy with what I have achieved so far in MEP and exchanging comments with all you guys has shown me what is hidden in the programme. It is now a matter for me to delve into and discover all the possibilities.

Don't forget to come up for air now and again, we may have some novel solutions for how to solve some issues.
