Hi James.Welcome to the user to user forums.

If you bought it from Best buy then your purchase contract is with them and not Magix. They are responsible for selling you the correct software. Magix will have no record of the purchase beyond the order they put in on your behalf. If Best Buy refuse to do anything for you I suggest you contact your Bureau of Consumer Protection about your problems with Best Buy.

This is a user forum only. No Magix staff present on the forums. You are about the fifth person in the past year I have seen on the forums complaining about Best Buy.

I do not know if the others ever got to resolve their problems with Best Buy. Certainly I have seen no feedback from anyone.
