I am using Magix Music Maker Live 2016, I had a microphone connected and it is set as  my default microphone but the application continues to use the computer microphone. I even turned off the computer microphone but it still continues to use that. I have searched everywhere in the app to switch microphones but cant find anything. I am getting extremely frustrated. Please help!!!!!!!

Hi,

How is your mic connected? USB or mic in on the audio card?

Two places to fix up:

1. File, Program settings, Audio/Midi tab, under ASIO driver, select Magix low latency. Or if you are using a USB mic,  download and install ASIO4All and set it.

2. Click on the gear to the right of the red Record button. Under Audio line-in, select your mic from the pop-down. I am assuming that Windows has already accepted your mic. Change any other parameters on this screen, like Mono instead of Stereo. Also, click on peak control to see what is in Windows - if your mic isn't there, then you have a Windows problem, not a Magix problem.
