I installed Movie Studio 2023 Platinum as an upgrade to Movie Studio 17 Platinum. It downloads and installs but won't start up. It just freezes and nothing happens for thirty minutes. Can I get a refund? I'll use Movie Studio 17 Platinum instead because it actually works.

Before downloading and installing MMS 2023 did you check that your computer at least meets and preferably exceeds the minimum requirements for running the software, as detailed here? Unfortunately, the latest release of any software makes ever-increasing demands on the user's hardware!
In addition, you need to be aware that MMS 2023 is a very different product to MS 17 because the former is built on and is a new version of what was formerly called Magix Movie Edit Pro. A number of users of Movie Studio have been caught out by this!
As to a refund, please send full details of your purchase to infoservice@magix.net and request the refund. Assuming you bought and installed it very recently there should be no problem about receiving the refund.
