Why this transition behaviopur?

terrypin wrote on 8/29/2012, 11:44 AM

I have about 40 objects on the MEP MX time line separated by black space. I want to move them flush against each other, but preserving their lengths. As I don't believe MEP provides a way to remove multiple spaces, I started to do it individually. But if I use right-click and Cut (no fade) the pair of objects change in size. Here's an illustration:

So it seems I'm forced to do it by dragging.

Hi Terry

Sorry cannot repeat the problem here.  Everything moves as it should and stays the correct length.

John

Thanks John. I'm also having trouble reproducing it myself!

Occsionally MEP starts doing weird things (or refusing to do normal things) and my usual recourse is to save the file, close, and re-start. Maybe I didn't do that on this occasion. If I find a consistent way of reproducing this I'll post again.

On an associated point, it seems that objects in the track above or below also get moved when 'Cut (no fade)'is applied. Same for you? Sometimes that's logical but occasionally it's unwanted, but I'm unsure how to avoid it?
