Why is it that when I load my dvd into Movie Edit Pro the picture is squished way too thin? It plays normally on everything else. How can I fix it?

My dvd plays normally on a dvd player and the computer.  But when I put it into Movie Edit Pro the picture is squashed tall and thin and can't be seen clearly at all.  How can I fix the aspect ratio?

From the top Menu bar select Tools > Movie Settings.  There you can adjust the aspect ratio and frame rate to match your source file or it may be you only need click on the preview screen and adjust that.

Thanks, David.  I've tried that but it still hasn't affected it.  The picture is still thin and squished.

Hi

Are you are loading the VOB direct from the DVD disc?

Right click the video on the timeline and select Object Properties and set the aspect ratio in the dialog box that opens.
