Why does magix not recognize my midi?

I have a acron master key 25 midi keyboard and magix music maker 17, and i love the program i just cant figure out how to use my midi and get it to record and stay as a "loop" or sound on the mmm17 to make it into a song...

Ive tried playing around with settings, my computer does recgonize the masterkey 25 and says the drivers are up to date and i just updated the program and still no such luck,

PLEASE HELP!!!

jonebaker, thanks that is what i use to do with mmm15 i guess the problem im haveing with mmm17 is it wont let me change the options for steps two and three of your diagram.

step 2 : is stuck on "no vsi" option

step 3 : reads insturment editor but doesnt do anything when i click it....

What is your Windows version?

Are all the Free downloads installed? IE all the Synthesizers, Instruments etc as shown below

Are these 32 or 64 bit drivers? For MMM 17 you must have 32 bit drivers installed.
