Why can't i register with my serial code

Hello i bought the Music Maker 3 years ago and installed it on my laptop without any problem the thing is my laptop broke and i decided to install it on a new one but i don't remember where i put the cd so i downloaded the music maker download and installed it but when i tried to register it refused is it normal??because i have the genuine serial code behind the dvd slive.

Check on the Magix website if you have the correct version for your key.

Click My Account top right of the home page.

Select My Products from the left side.

You should now see your registered software serial number(s) and hopefully a download link.

Download the software, uninstall the version that will not register, use the Magicx Cleaner tool available here (page 2) then install the version you have just downloaded and try registering it.

Bought the Music Maker Live/Samplitude Music Studio bundle. Big surprise the serial numbers seem NOT to work. Apparently the serial numbers are "invalid". (error code-14). No fix/help for this anywhere to be found. Not sure how new product serial numbers are invalid if they've never been used before.

clicking on "support" just directs you to instructions for registering the product not what to do if the numbers don't work. If the numbers don't work what good is clicking on support???

You have to register first. Then you can raise a ticket.

How did you input the activation codes? Copy/Paste? Make sure that you don't have P3 entered twice, since it was probably already filled in automatically?

An error code -14 during a MAGIX product activation, generally means that you're putting a valid MAGIX serial number into the wrong MAGIX product or version/edition.
