Why can't I export projects as mp3's anymore?

nolancchase wrote on 6/7/2016, 4:15 PM

Using Magix Music Maker 2016.  Was exporting just fine.  Now I can't export at all, even projects that I previously exported as MP3's.

I've reset everything, reinstalled soundpools etc.  Screenshot below shows what I see.

Another reason to move on to FL Studio if this doesn't get resolved.

Hi,

What is the patch (version) number? See the screen under Help, About. Did you update to the latest patch?

Since exporting worked before, did you change something, like upgrade to Windows 10?

Anything else change on your system in the meantime?

What is your OS?

Did you try a re-installing MMM and then updating to the latest patch?

Reinstalling soundpools does nothing, they are just static files.

Did you raise a ticket with Magix Support?

I got the same problem.

Exported just fine two weeks ago. Haven't used magix (or the computer) since then and was going to work on a collab today... Now all export options are greyed.

Using Magic Music Maker 2016 Live

Another thing that have been a "problem" is MMM wants to update everytime I open it.
Same file each time, and it says I already got the update when I start it.

Best regards
Alex

Im getting this exact same issue, the buttons are greyed out like your screenshot, also I keep a "Music Maker Premuim Upgrade" pop up!

Was working fine before, this has just changed suddenly, and remove and re-install didnt work

Hi

@ AlexHall and Darren

Have you upgraded to Windows 10 from 7 or 8 and MMM was installed before the upgrade - if so then re-install the program following this procedure.

@nolancchase

Just re-installing will not fix some issues - you have to clean out files that are left behind by the uninstaller which cannot remove them because the files are created on first run of the program. The uninstaller has already finished its job and knows nothing about them. See the above procedure for where these files are located if you are on Windows 7 or 8 they may be in a slightly different location.
