Why can't I export my video project into MPEG-4, I get no response from clicking that option?

my project is comprised of WAV. audio file and still JPEGs arranged in a slide show with fade transitions. I'm trying to create video narration of a story for our website at work. I was told that mpeg-4 would be the best format for this.

Depending on which version you have the mp4 codecs may not be installed.

Does a window open under the MEP window and you cannot see it?

Try putting a mp4 video on the timeline - if the codecs are not there you should be prompted to download or activate them - you may have to purchase this depending on the version.
