Hi AJ,

Not a lot of information to determine much of anything. Perhaps you could supply more?

Just purchased MMM2015 soundpool colection. After downloading, I tested the sounds and found that every sound, under every genre that is a midi sound, does not play. Rather, I get the msg 'VST plug-in not avail'. The sound then plays as a piano or keyboard sound.  The msg pops up every time I choose a midi sound And, MOST of these ARE midi sounds. Not much else I can add. Any ideas? Thanks for rresponding.

Which version of Music Maker are you using (year and basic or Premium)?

Did you install all of the instruments in MMM - under Help, Update Program/Update functions, Download free synthesizer and sound packages? If not, then you likely don't have the instruments needed to play the midi files, and that is why you get the error.

Normally, and I know that it is not indicated and I may be guessing a bit, this collection is what comes with Music Maker of the same version. What you are buying is the Pro version so that you can use the sound loops in your compositions on a pro basis, according to the terms of the pro license. MMM sells you the private version when it sells you MMM.

Also, if you don't have the corresponding MMM, then you possibly will not have all of the required instruments. There were 4 new ones that came with 2015, I believe. Check first my point above about installing all free downloads.

I just checked some of what comes with the Soundpool collection and it is not what comes with MMM2015, so there is no duplication that I can see. However, you still seem to be missing the instruments to play the midi files.

I'm not winning here. It seems that the soundpools that I am supposed to have with MMM are not showing up in my Styles. I looked at what it says on the Magix site and the soundpools look the same as the one in the 2015 collection.

I am hunting for my missing soundpools.

My DAW is MMM2013 Premium. I bought this last year. The 2015 collection is soundpools only. I downloaded it and I assume it is the soundpool collection you would get with the 2015 DAW. I'm not aware of any further downloading I was supposed to do for more sounds. I have done so in the past. This is really frusttrating and I appreciate your trying to help. Thanks!

First of all......MAGIX Music Maker is NOT a DAW.  Samplitude and Sequoia are.

I suggest that you view this tutorial, and you will see how to download and you will see the instruments, many of which you should have in MMM2013.

I found my "missing" 2015 Soundpools. I reinstalled the 2 files that came with 2015Premium and they were repaired and showed up on the list.

I can confirm that these Soundpools are the same ones that you purchased, so if you upgrade to MMM2015 Premium, you will have them again. Except, as I said, you purchased the Pro version and they are wav files, whereas MMM2015 Premium comes with ogg files for private use.

Make sure that you download and install everything as I indicated in the tutorial and in my first answer.

I viewed the tutorial and  re-downloaded everything. It took more than one hour. Unfortunately, I received no answers for my midi sounds problem.  I have the MMM2013 PREMIUM and the MMM2015 soundpools I purchased are indeed  pro licensed sounpools.  I'm still waiting for a response from  Magix Tech support. Thanks to all who replied.
