White text in black background

David-Anegbu wrote on 11/19/2022, 11:51 AM

I am making YouTube video using movie studio 23. I need to add subtitles texts, since this is a video and it could be any color, it unprofessional to make texts in one color, it is always hard to read, or at least some part of it. How can i make my subtitles in black or any colored background.

Also, I find only 4 text effects, top-bottom, bottom to top, left-right and right-left? am I missing anything?

Thanks

@David-Anegbu

Hi

For changing text colours use a static title, and see this comment.

For the background I use images of the required colour, place them on a lower track number then the title object and adjust the size & position and transparency if needed, you can see examples of the result in this tutorial
