I just upgraded from AMS 11 to Acid Pro 10 like two weeks ago. Was running just fine until it prompted me to load the latest update. It’s pretty obvious, based on the number of people here who have had similar instability issues, that something is fundamentally wrong in the latest AP 10 update.
I have several questions:
- When was the latest update for AP10 released and was it fairly stable until then?
- Can I uninstall and reinstall AP 10 on my computer and just avoid the update if it was more stable before?
- This is clearly a programming issue with the recent update. Is Magix going to release a patch for this any time soon? Is there any way to put pressure on them to expedite this? I also use Mixcraft 9 Pro and when they had an issue with the updated Melodyne plugin crashing MC9; they emailed all customers and released a patch within 48 hours. I can’t even figure out how to get a hold of Magix technical support. There’s a number listed but I haven’t tried it yet Acid also doesn’t create any crash logs or error files that I can submit.
It seems to me like we’re all in the same unhappy boat here. Hoping that things might improve if enough of us complain. Meanwhile, I’m back to using Acid Music Studio 11, which ironically is dead stable, unlike its “professional” bigger brother.
