When was the latest Acid Pro update released?

I just upgraded from AMS 11 to Acid Pro 10 like two weeks ago. Was running just fine until it prompted me to load the latest update. It’s pretty obvious, based on the number of people here who have had similar instability issues, that something is fundamentally wrong in the latest AP 10 update.

I have several questions:

- When was the latest update for AP10 released and was it fairly stable until then?

- Can I uninstall and reinstall AP 10 on my computer and just avoid the update if it was more stable before?

- This is clearly a programming issue with the recent update. Is Magix going to release a patch for this any time soon? Is there any way to put pressure on them to expedite this? I also use Mixcraft 9 Pro and when they had an issue with the updated Melodyne plugin crashing MC9; they emailed all customers and released a patch within 48 hours. I can’t even figure out how to get a hold of Magix technical support. There’s a number listed but I haven’t tried it yet Acid also doesn’t create any crash logs or error files that I can submit.

It seems to me like we’re all in the same unhappy boat here. Hoping that things might improve if enough of us complain. Meanwhile, I’m back to using Acid Music Studio 11, which ironically is dead stable, unlike its “professional” bigger brother.

Hey Mathew, I think the lastest update was about a month ago. Not sure. But all of us are having different type, or similar problems. It seems as if after the latest update, any stability we had, is gone. About un-installing and re-installing, I don't know if it will let you go back to the last version. I un-install/reinstall almost daily due to Acid losing MP3 support each time PC is restarted, I always end up with the same latest version. Plus, I have a grocery list of issues with version 10 after the udpate:

1. If I want to use the MP3 files, I have to re-install Acid. Each time PC is restarted, MP3 support dies.

2. At times, rendering hangs and I have to end Acid process via task.

3...oh well, doesn't really matter, lets see if there will be another update or Magix will post a note that they are acknowledging these issues.
