Magix Video Saver has not been around for a while. If you are using Windows 10 then it in all likelihood will no longer work as the drivers would no longer be supported by Windows 10.
Do you happen to have the required running specs for it?
I can't find them on the web anywhere and the previous windows 8.1 patch no longer appears to be on the magix servers.
OK. After a bit more digging it appears Magix Video Saver 8 is windows 8 compatible but there are warnings it may not work on Windows 10. Try running it in administrator mode and choose to then run it in compatibility mode and see if that works. If that doesn't help, you may be out of luck.
Hei Såle - takk for info.
Thank you for your message. In order to get around this issue please do the following:
Once you are sure the hardware is set up and connected to the computer correctly, please download and install the best and most up-to-date driver version for the USB video converter from the following link:
Save this archive file to your PC and unpack/extract the contents. You might want to temporarily deactivate any security software that could conflict with the installation before you go ahead. In the extracted folder, you will find two sub folders, from which you need to pick the correct installation for your operating system. With a 64bit operating system, navigate to the "x64" folder. With a 32bit system, use the "x86" one.
Run the "SetupDrv.exe" file from the folder you have picked to install the driver. You might want to carry out this procedure with full admin rights, e.g. by right-clicking "SetupDrv.exe" and choosing "Run as administrator", rather than the usual left/double-click. Now you're ready to use the USB video converter from the provided software and check whether your issue has been solved.
