When I look at my timeline view in Movie Edit Pro MX, I have several scenes that are no showing up in my Storyboar or Scenes view.  Also when I burn the the movie to DVD, it only burns whats in the scenes view.  How can I fix this?

I have tried this twice and I get the same results.  The Timeline view properties information, shows that the project knows where to locate the movie components that makeup the scene.  What's even more weird is that in Burn mode, it shows all of the scenes and actually shows the entire movie...  I'm trying to complete a project in the next few days and would very much appreciate knowing how to resolve this.

Hi.

The only possibility that springs to mind is that these "missing" scenes are on tracks that are "muted"; the video/audio objects themselves will be still visible on the Timeline but MEP will ignore them.

Another thought has occurred whilst writing the previous paragraph: if these missing scenes are on the same track as scenes which do play, if you "play" the timeline do you see/hear ALL the scenes including those that are "missing"?  If you do, then I'm not at all sure why they don't appear on the Storyboard.  If you don't, I wonder whether you have altered these clips "transparency" (set by the height of the little white "triangular" markers within each video object on the timeline.)

One thing about your post does slightly confuse me: you say that the burned DVD doesn't contain these "missing" scenes but "in Burn mode it ... actually shows the entire movie".  I assume you are using the facility in the burn screen to preview the finished DVD?  And that shows ALL the desired content?  But the burned disc doesn't?  That is something I have never seen before!

UNLESS (further thought, now clutching at very weak straws); are these missing clips in a different file format to the others?  There is no obvious reason why MEP would choose to ignore them if they are somehow different, especially without giving some indication that it is "struggling", but you never know.

Do let us know how you get on resolving this problem, even if the immediate situation is "I can't resolve it".

Jeff

Only video scenes or pictures on track no 1 are shown in Storyboard and Overview mode.

Emmrecs and Asoeli, Thank you both for your responses.  I figured it out and  you are correct Asoeli, the problem was that I had the latter part of my movie on Track 3 instead of Track 1; therefore it was playing in the timeline mode, but did not appear in the Storyboard mode...

Apparently, the burner uses Track 1 as it's baseline for determining the full length of the movie.

I moved the latter part of the movie up to Track 1 and re-ran the Burn.  It worked great.

Thank You!!
