Hi,

I am a little confused about what you are asking.  Are you saying that when you create a new project in MEP and drag pictures or video into the time line or scene overview (story board) they do not import?  Do you get any error message?

Thank you for your response,

I have loaded about ten pictures on a new project in MEP 15 and they do import to the scene overview area. If i where to push play i could watch the slide show. The problem i am incountering is that they are not in ten different frames or boxes in the scene overview, only one frame, so i cant do transition in between each picture. Also above they scene overview is the menu bar that should contain the timeline, storyboard, cut, edit, ect options...that area is totally blank with no icons.

Here is a quick video I put toghether to show you how I would go about using 10 photographs to create a video with a couple of transitions and 1 zoom effect.  No audio but it should be self explanatory.  Let me know how this compares to the process you are using.  If the video is not clear, I could go back and add a audio track with a description of the process.

Good Luck

Thank you for the video, it reminded me of what i did to get into this mess. In the toolbar that contians the options to toogle between storyboard, timeline, cut( the razor icon), ect... in that toolbar on the far right is an "x". I clicked that "x" previsously and cant seem to figure out how to restore the changes i made when clicked it. try clicking that 'x' and tell me how you were able to restore the option in that toolbar.

thank you!

Hi,

So ok, you probably deleted the photographs when you used when you clicked the "razor" icon.  Remember, there are 3 selections available if you see the lower case letter "x" where the razor icon is.  The are "remove start" "remove end" and "remove scene"  which one you are currently using depends on what is selected in the small triangle on the right side of that control.  If you have 1 picture selected, that picture will be "cut"  if you have all pictures selected, they all will be cut.  Once a scene or video is "cut" from the project, it is gone, unless there is still a backup copy available and load the back up file.  With only 10 photographs, it would be much easier to just create a new project, insert the 10 photographs in the new project, and start adding transitions and or effects and audio if needed to the new project.

The scene mode is really best for putting video clips and photographs in the order that you want them to appear in the finished project.  Then you really need to switch to the time line mode to actually do the editing.
