What is the problem the problem with panning midi files?

MusicMaker 16 Premium: I have imported several midi files into an arrangement, each representing a different instrument. When I try to pan these instruments with the mixer nothing happens. However my VST (Vita) instruments pan fine. What is the problem with panning imported midi files?

Could you please explain exactly how you went about importing the MIDI files into MM-16?

I was able to successfully pan an imported MIDI file in MM-15, so I'd like to know if you've used the same procedure in MM-16.

Thanks

At the bottom of the main MM16 screen there is a file manager. I dragged the files directly on to individual tracks. Do you think it makes a difference?

Yes, apparently it does make a difference.  This is just a guess, but I suspect that if you import a MIDI file using the File Manager, it is being played by your soundcards MIDI synth as opposed to any MMM synth.  That may be why you do not have control over panning in MMM.

I suggest you open the Vita MIDI editor, clear the default MIDI information, and import your MIDI track into Vita using the Import command in the File menu,  I believe this will solve your problem.
