I upgraded to SF 11 in January 2018 just a few weeks before the "buy SF 11 and get free SF 12" deal. I have issues on a Win 10 PC running SF 11 and Ozone 8 Adv. and always causes program stalls trying to apply to a sound file. Today (Apr 7, 2018) I purchased and upgraded again to the newest SF Pro 12 64-bit and all works great with Ozone 8 Adv. VST3! Love the new features!! And very fast applying effects and mastering tools to the sound files.

Since SF 11 did not work for me can I get a refund on the Jan. 2018 upgrade puchase? I had to revert back to SF 10 / Ozone 5 to get projects finished.

But congratulations on SF Pro 12 ! SF Pro 12 is a worthy upgrade.

I would contact Magix Customer Service (NOT tech support).

I'm evaluating 12 now to see if we want to upgrade our department of 13 sound Designers from SF 10. So far, mostly pretty good. It hasn't crashed or asked me to re-register it of randomly unauthorised my plugins yet so that's progress.

There is one big thing bugging me though; "Process Selection" button STILL missing despite the number of people complaiing about this in SF 11.

MAGIX - Can you please just bring back "Process Selection" in an update? Nobody even knows or understands why it was removed in the first place. Find the place in the code where it applies the plug-in chain on save and add a button to do that without saving.

Its hard to recommend the department to stay on 10.0 due to the awful stability issues on Win 10 and we skipped 11.0 because it was all sorts of worse but this feature being missing is a big problem for us.

Simple question: Can the interface be made dark like Vegas Pro 15? I find the bright interface of Sound Forge 10/Vegas Pro 14 eye straining for me.

Personally, I prefer the lighter, but it would be nice to have the darker option like Vegas.

Regarding "Process plug-in chain Selection", I questioned this and the "Record" UI since it first changed in SF Pro 11 (beta). It added steps and seemed counter-intuitive to me and the other beta testers and uses I've been in contact with (lots), but suggestions and inquiries fell on deaf SCS ears did not even return emails. Fortunately Magix, and in this case, SF Pro 12 project manager Thomas W., communicates and pays attention.

That said, in SF Pro 11 and 12, if you first select "Apply Plug-in chain" in the 'FX Favorites' menu, it behaves very similar to SF Pro 10 and prior versions.

Otherwise, SF Pro 12 loads and runs much faster.

there is an audiobook which CIA censored many names from the memoir, and the publisher pasted an exact audio phrase on the whole file repeatedly many times, and listening to it is a frustrating experience.
So I need a method to cut out these 30 seconds long warning phrase automatically or replace it with a simple beep. I don't want to do this on a 15 hours long audiobook manually.
Can anyone guide me on how to do such task?
Thank you in advance.

No way that I'm aware of to automate that. A script may be possible though, but you would still need to map out all the in/out instances. Otherwise, you could copy your simple beep (or whatever replacement sound) highlight the annoyance, right-click and choose 'Overwrite'... and repeat. You would only have to copy the replacement sound once though. Still a daunting task for a 15 hr program.

what about copying the 5second annoyance into the clipboard and somehow search and highlight the existing instances of it during the whole file automatically? just like searching for a text string in notepad app.

very strange, copying a 5second exact phrase into clipboard in a sound app and searching/highlighting of the existing instances of it within the wave file automatically/sequentially seems not an impossible task to me.
I'm wondering why no one takes care of it!
