Waveform output device

I am all of a sudden getting the following message

" Waveform output device 'modem #1 Line Playback' cannot play this format.

Reason:

The specified format is not supported or cannot be translated. Use the capabilities function to determine the suported formats".

What is the capabilities function and any idea why this all of a sudden occured and preventing me from viewing my project?

Hi

We need more information on your computer make /model and specification.

For some reason the software thinks your modem (does it have a modem card or attached?)  sound output is the default audio device.

Try resetting the program to its default settings - File, Settings, Reset program to default settings to see if this fixes the problem.  Note you will lose any customised settings you have made.

Check in the program settings that the default audio device is set to your sound card.
