I am using the 7 day trial version of Molvie Edit Pro 16 Plus. I downloaded it yesterday, made a edit, trims, etc. and it played and worked beautifully and uploaded to youtube fine. I saved the project in the only format it would allow - .mvp. This morning I launched the program, opened the project and it wouldn't play.
I got this message: Wave from output device 'none' cannot play this format! Reason: a device ID has been used that is our of range for your system.
I looked at the answer to one post about this. It said try pressing P on my keyboard while in the edit screen and change from Wave to Direct Sound, etc. I tried that. And when I choose different options and then clicked ok, I got another error message and the program froze and crashed.
I'm a former professional videotape editor and know very well how to edit, but have no clue how to get around computer problems.
In the last month I have tried free trials of about 6 or 7 video editing programs and the only other one that gives me the flexibility I need with multiple video and audio channels besides Magix is Nero, and it won't play my .mov file and crashes a lot.
I really want this program to work for me NOW, so I can determine whether or not to plunk money down to buy the full version. If the trial won't work I won't gamble my hard earned savings on the full version.
My computer system:
Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2
32 Bit Bit Operating System
Compaq manufacturered by Helwett Packard
Processor: AMD Athlom dual Core Processor 4450e 2.30Ghz
Ram: 3GB
Hard Drive: 250Gb
Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio (I did have Windows search automatically for an update and it told me my driver was up to date - same thing with video driver).
The files I am editing are .mov files from my Kodaz Zi8 1080p HD camcorder.
