VST not working on 64-bit Music Maker

fyusibov wrote on 12/12/2020, 6:17 PM

Hi,

I recently updated the Music Maker (Free) software to the 64-bit version.

I acquired the VST bridge (not sure if have to download/install explicitly or whether happens behind the curtains), but none of the VST plugins are working. Had previously acquired and installed Vita plugin; whenever I load a Vita instrument, the 'built-in' keyboard is not clickable. When I load a third-party instrument, its built-in keyboard is clickable, but no sound is generated. It doesn't seem like any CPU processing is taking place either. The software itself doesn't have any issues with audio files, so this is not a sound driver problem. Any ideas?

Thanks,

F.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Yes, you do need to install the VST bridge, I believe.

However, its purpose is solely to allow 32 bit VSTs to run in the 64 bit environment of the latest MusicMaker. Is that what you are trying to do, run 32 bit VSTs in the new MM? Which specific VSTs, or is this actually VSTis (VST Instruments)?

Hi Jeff, thanks for your response. I "upgraded" my MM from the 32-bit version to the 64-bit. Wasn't having any issues on the 32-bit. None of the VSTs work on the the new 64-bit, including the MM VSTs such as Vita or Revolta. I acquired the VST bridge yesterday but not sure what I have to do now to have it installed. There's no notification in MM, just says I've acquired the VST bridge and that's it.

Hi

Assuming you installed the VST-Bridge then you should see your 32 bit VST Instrumentds as shown below:

and you use them as you previously did.
