Vita Sampler won't accept samples

Hi

The Vita Sampler works OK on my PC, accepting OGG and WAV files.

Is your MMM patched up to the latest version - 24.0.2.46 ?

As you can see, the version of MMM2017P is actually of more recent vintage :)

You can also see the error message of Vita Sampler. Vita Sampler can use it's own samples. If you try and use the 'Load' menu item under the sample selector, Vita Sampler gives you the same error message.

I've freshly reinstalled all Windows 10 and MMM2017P Saturday 2016.11.15.

Dragging a file from the File Manager panel to Vita Sampler does give the error message, however if you drag the same file from Windows Explorer to Vita Sampler it will import as shown below.

Click the Youtube icon in the player for higher quality video.

The File Manager in MMM appears to allow read only to protect audio files from certain actions which involve editing their content.

Wooorks !! Fantasique !! Thanks. Just, in the previous versions of MMM you could use the oi program Samplepool and File manager. For reasons unknown to me, you can't in this new and updated version :/ :)

Did you find the missing elements? I can't find the synths. Maybe I missed a file when I set up on my Surface Pro as I copied all of the downloaded installation files from my desktop (I'm far from home) and installed that way. DN-e shows up but I can't find the 3 that you mentioned, nor Atmos, nor Livid and maybe another one. I can find the png's but nothing more.

With the old interface, Instruments and Synths were separate. Did either of you find a way to get the synths to show up. I haven't checked the manual yet.

Something is wrong and I think Magix "forgot" part of the program.

I am downloading the 127MB synth file, but I don't see Robota or Beatbox indicated there. The internet connection in the hotel in the middle of Africa is intermittent and slow. I will report back later if, and when, I get the file downloaded.

As for the version, I have the same one as John EB. I tested for an update and there was no update, so you may have one that should not have been issued, or something.

Before I left on my trip, I recall that we were looking at some problems with MMM. I'll have to look them up, but did you raise a ticket with Magix about them?

BTW, first leg of my flight went to Munich and I caught the last day of Oktoberfest. Did I already mention that? Maybe a senior's moment.

Beatbox and Robota and Livid.syn are in : C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Music Maker Premium\2017\Synth

Is your MMM from Steam?

Versions of the software from Steam appear to have a different version number - for the few users here who have had problems with their software the version number is one more than the Magix download version/patch.

Not quite John - probably me mentioning that we have been to Germany twice this year.

I think it's just a bit of sluggish programming. Or perhaps they've taken away the synth objects only to surprise us by giving them back to us later.

Would say especially Loop Designer needs a serious upgrade. Some of the programming behind these tools are from the preious centory :O.

Note also the newest version of Sampletude Music Studio includes those magic synths. Perhaps they're comming back ?! :) Also argue. Why on the Earth do they offer us to download these synths if they're not in use ?

Found out that there is no such thing as a small beer at Oktoberfest in Germany.

Must be an oversight on the part of the programmers, as the synths are there, just no way to access them. They were split before into 2 areas. Someone forget to include accesss to them in the media pool. We'll get them back sson, I hope.
