Virtual Keyboard sound stopped working with update

After I updated Music Maker to Version 27.0.1.23, I no longer hear sounds when I click on the keys of the virtual keyboard.  I have Windows 10, and all I have attached is a computer keyboard/mouse and monitor with Logitech speakers attached. Even with direct sound set, I can hear them only if I record me mashing keys and playback the recording.  When I press keys (no sound), the area below the volume bar doesn't flash but the "MIDI" text flashes. When I play back the recording I made (and can hear sound), the area below the volume bar flashes.   I have looked at all the settings and cannot figure out how to restore the keyboard sound.

Below screenshot shows me pressing a key, and the MIDI text flashing below the volume bar without any sound.

I get a sense I'm just dumb and overlooked something, but hopefully someone can help me out!

@Peter-Jaworski

Hi

This is a known issue, to hear the sound from an instrument when played from the computer keyboard, external midi controller or when adding notes in the Midi Editor the audio has to be set to ASIO or WASAPI , or ASIO4All if you have it installed.

The only issue with this is that it locks the audio card out from other programs.

Solved, thanks! I couldn't get ASIO to work but never considered using WASAPI. It works now, thanks for the quick response!
