I have done all the Vegas updates since I bought my original license 9 years ago. Hopes have been it would be more stable for me. I have have also had 3 different computers in that time frame.

I updated to 18 and it is completely unstable. It crashes at completely random times when I am in projects, the problem is becoming worse. It's now to the point where I cannot even load the software. The NLE will launch but then crashes on loading any projects.

One time it will crash at 24% the next time at 100% just before showing the timeline. I cannot get this figured out but need to as I use the software for my business. Rough specs on my machine:

- Intel i7 w/ 6 cores

- Radeon RX480 8GB

- 64GB RAM

- m.2 512GB main drive

- 1TB SSD project drive

- Windows 10 ultimate

It would also be nice to know what specs are required to run this software. I'd imagine my machine would be more than adequate but cannot figure out why it's unstable. I'm also trying to kill as many background processes as possible when I load the software. Task switching when a project is open is almost guaranteed to crash the NLE.
