Vegas Post - Unable to Activate & Register

Just updated to Vegas Post and went through the install process. Everything was installed correctly and I opened the software and get a Welcome Screen asking me to take "just a few more steps before you can start the program." I put in my serial number and my email address and click on the "Activate & register immediately online" button. It thinks about it for a minute and then I get the following message, "An online connection could not be established. Please make sure your computer is correctly connected to the internet. A firewall may also be blocking access." I have read current documentation online and have disabled my Ethernet connection as described and enabled it again, etc. Nothing works. Unable to use my new software. :( I have followed several other videos describing similar issues others are having and to no avail. Would love to use my new software. I am losing time and money. Any help would be appreciated.
